With grocery prices through the roof elsewhere, aldis still has quality products at pre-pandemic prices. Personally i love that there is less options so i don't have to think too hard about which to grab. Only complaint is that they have automated ordering so when the students leave the fruit and veg sits for a few weeks with replenishment and when the students return things are gone for a while.

Good prices, but inventory is very inconsistent. You never know if they'll have an item you got there before and they don't have many common items. For example, I needed teriyaki sauce, a common item, but they had none. They weren't out - they don't CARRY it. The employees are indifferent. You'll pay to use a cart, (which is refunded upon returning it, but it's still a pain) and you pay for any bags you use. The Ames Aldi is in a bad location (shares a very busy parking lot with an auto parts store and Texas Roadhouse) and the 5th St. entrance/exit is so steep that you'll scrape the front of your car using it if you're doing more than 2 mph.

Nice big store... Needs tables & chairs so people can sit & talk and not block the aisles so other people can get thru. Wasn't very busy but everyone must have met up at Aldi's to chat & block the way.

Organics! Incredible selection of organics. Lots of organic selections that I appreciate like orange juice, fruit, and meat. The quality of the foods here is pretty hard to beat I think. If you'd like to vote with your wallet this is a great place to support in my opinion.

Tons of options and unlike Walmart they don't make you feel like you're a criminal when you're walking out by going through all the stuff you just bagged and rang up yourself. And the prices are so low compared to anywhere else. You get your bang for your buck for sure. And they still have an awesome aisle of shame?Thank you Aldi's ?

Great prices but i do not like these new self checkouts. The staff there seems like they are overworked and stressed because of them. One cashier has to check long lines and help everyone struggling with the obnoxious self checkouts. Poor cashier is working her butt off. This was a bad move aldi.
