This Casey's location is fantastic! The food I ordered (pizza & french fries) was made hot, fresh, & delicious! Our customized order selections & instructions were followed exactly as we asked for. The two men that were working this afternoon (both in the kitchen and at the registers) provided prompt, professional, friendly service, & they were very attentive to customers. The atmosphere was lively & welcoming, with a clean environment. I'm not sure what more you could ask for! I'm honestly a little surprised by some of the negative reviews this place has & I wonder if those people even selected the correct location to leave those reviews for, because this is one of the best Casey's I've seen! Thank you for providing this high standard of quality & service that should be expected in a Casey's location, when it seems recently so many other locations have fallen short of that standard & gone downhill. We really appreciate still having a really good one near where we live!

I think people tend to only write reviews for places like this when they have a bad experience, so I thought I'd write about my good experience.
I ordered pizza over the phone 12/17/24. I did NOT like the AI assistant: if I'm calling vs. ordering online, it's because I have a unique need and want to talk to a human. I confused it enough that I got my human. We have struggled with the app. Every time we order through it, the pizza hasn't even been made when we arrive at the pickup time - no matter which Casey's we use - so called in. I needed to be certain my pizza was done at a particular time, and I had a coupon they needed to be aware of.
Arrived at pickup time, and the pizza was ready as requested. Paid and was on my way in less than five minutes. Pizza was tasty, as usual, thought it was very flimsy when first hot. Waited another ten-twenty minutes, and the crust had firmed up quite a bit, making it significantly easier to eat without a fork.
Three stars for service since the Phone is problematic, (app also is great to use, but does not get me a pizza on time) but the people in the store were great.

I have never ever been to such a bad place. The people there will never stop looking at you like, just because you are different. It is really sad. Anyways, not to generalize, but some people on the counter need to touch the grass. Disgusting attitude.
Yes, I have been to other Casey's. But this one is near a university! Where you have international students! PhD students! This is just sad.

We ordered a pizza over 2 HOURS ago. Went to pick it up at the promised time (which was 90 min after order time) and found one guy in kitchen CLEARLY overwhelmed, and four customers standing in line waiting for their orders; at least one of them had ordered the same time as us. There were no pizzas ready for pick up, and none in process. What was the holdup?! Person at register on his phone, and two girls chatting in office. This experience is in addition to what many others have said...no items stocked in morning, and horrible customer service. I once had the displeasure of listening to a cashier's child support woes for 5 minutes when the man in front of me innocently asked her, "how's it going?"This is not the Casey's experience I grew up knowing. I have had better experiences at other locations in Ames so I don't want to leave a blanket bad review, but the Stange location is absolutely terrible. The DM needs to spend some extended time there training, over several different shift times to get this up to par. Terrible.

You will not find a more disorganized gas station in your life. Nobody working there has any idea what they are doing. You’re lucky to get gas. To top it off, the staff is unbelievably rude.

About an hour ago I ordered a pizza and breadsticks through the app & I don’t think I will be able to ever order again. The sauce that I received had mold growing on it. I am very grossed out. I tried to call but no one picked up the phone. The premade sauces you guys have out probably need to be checked. ?

The cashier was wondering and very nice but the kitchen staff was not great. There was one employee specifically who seemed to be yelling at another employee for being late and didn’t seem to care about the customers in the store. She was very unprofessional storming in and out of the store and it made me uncomfortable to be there for even a few minutes. I would absolutely hate to work there if I got treated like that. I don’t usually write reviews like this but the way she was acting was not right.

What a wonderful way to finish my work day. Friendly and enthusiastic voice answering the phone and taking my pizza order, and the same enthusiasm greeting me when I was handed my pizza. And… the last perfect touch - Joe holding the door for me as I left with my pizza.A huge smile on my face after a 13 hour day!
