Stopped in for a bathroom break, three employees at the front and no one welcomed us. Then I went into the restrooms and they were a mess. After that, went to get a sandwich, it was stale. Bad experience

Nice Kum & Go here in Ames, IA off I-35 Exit 113. The store is quite different on the inside when compared to the others that look like this style in the fountain/coffee area is right next to the kitchen like a Casey’s. Normally, the fountain is just on the right side of the store and the kitchen is on the middle at the newer stores. I got a 44oz fountain drink, 2 slices of sausage pizza, & some Trident Gum (Spearment). The total with tax came to 9.39. The cashier was very nice and friendly. The store was very clean & organized. Keep up the great work, Kum & Go 1113!-Shy_Gun670

Worst bathrooms I have experienced at Kum & Go. Full garbage, dirty stalls, garbage on the floors.

This Kum & Go keeps their bathrooms clean, the store is well-maintained, and the employees are organized. Once several people were in line, another clerk opened up a register to expedite the purchases. A good variety of baked goods were still available for sale in the afternoon hours. This was a good gas stop off the 35 freeway, heading south to Des Moines.

I realized why I don’t go to Kum & Go! One star because 0 wasn’t an option! I entered a bathroom stall behind an employee and it was a disaster! Paper and nastiness all over. How do you not have the decency or pride as an employee to take care of business??!! Then I went to the counter to check out and same guy was just leaned on the counter on his phone. Why are we settling or allowing this kind of employee??

I was hesitant at first to come here bc of my past experiences. However, as I strolled in here this evening, I was amazed by the selection of dietary snacks and treats offered! I am currently enjoying turkey jerky which I have a hard time to locate in the first place.
The establishment is clean both interior and exterior. The service received was most pleasant and this experience was most definitely better than a Five star!
Thank you, for keeping a wide verity available for all your guests in mind!

I choose to buy gas, food. Drinks and other things here for one simple reason: they have honey for beverages. Today I went there and there was no honey or sugar at all in this location on 13th st. In Ames. This is the second time I've had this experience there. Yet I paid fully and never offered an apology after I asked 3 associates to look for any sugar or honey for my coffee. I was very disappointed in how this was handled and the fact that this happened before.

Tried to get something to drink but my card was declined. Twice. Then a different card. Tried the atm and same. So I left thinking there was an issue with my card. Drove all the way to Ankeny to my bank's ATM. Worked fine. Got gas and drinks at a gas station there with no issues. So 2 hours of my life wasted and 50 unnecessary miles on my vehicle and it wasn't even my card. It was their system. On the positive side, gas was 70 cents cheaper in Ankeny so that kind of makes up for it I guess.
