Every store in every state is set up the same so you know exactly where everything is at. It’s not like a Walmart, they always have plenty of cashiers to check you out.

What a terrible experience working with Menards and their delivery team. First off the utter lack of communication at the local level forced us to reach out to corporate office. Finally got things sorted only to be told, nope...not going to happen again. Ames menards has now missed 2 deliveries that I have already paid for on my orders that total over $6,000. Awful online and delivery experience-do not shop here if you want things done in a timely manner, without having to go all the way up to corporate customer -which apparently doesn't help anyway. I would out right cancel my order if we weren't already delayed in our bios process.

We bought Ultra Deck from ames and Ankeney and our both in our deck. There was a clear difference between the boards recieved in ames and those from Ankeney. The boards from ames are defective and showed obvious bowing. Menards would not handle it and the ultra deck company states "there is a slight crown to shed after" but would not provide a spec for the crown allowance. Use caution when purchasing this deck from Ultra Deck and check for inconsistencies in material before install and before cuttin or you will be left with a warped deck.

Saturday, June 24th 3:45. Used a rebate check. Plus had a receipt showing a credit from a previous rebate check for 5.68. When I got that receipt the cashier took original card and said to present the receipt in the future for the remainder credit. Did that and two females said they would need to check the cameras from the original transaction instead of just running the bar code. I don't have time to wait for you to run through your video and be treated like a thief. The woman snarkily said they were trying to help me when I said your customer service is horrible. I have a receipt. No one is trying to steal 5.68. Do better. Train your staff!

Nate (younger kid blonde curly hair) working customer service tonight shouldn’t have a job with the public. I walked in to return a water faucet and literally before I even made it to customer service counter he was calling me a thief and accusing me of stealing. His actual first words to me were “Did you steal that.” He told me I was a liar and didn’t purchase it there and said I stole it. Even once I produced my receipt showing I bought it that very morning he still kept going on about how he was in the right. So moral of the post is don’t walk into Menards trying to return something or this guy is gonna go on an ego trip saying you stole it even though you have the receipt.

Probably bought $20,000 worth of materials from Menards over the past 6 months as we are building a home....went to return 1 extra shelf bracket that had a scratched bar code this morning without a receipt. Just wanted store credit as I was going to pick up other materials. Older lady at the returns counter was not nice and refused and since I really didn't need it, I left it at the counter and told her to add it back to their shelves only to have her throw it in the trash and make a snarky comment a moment later. Interacted with her before, but when I was wearing nicer work clothes and was treated very differently. Going to start doing more business with Lowes....management might want to put her through customer care training. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she works the counter virtually every Saturday morning. NOT cool Menards....you definitely lost more than five dollars over this.

We drive 1 hr 20 min to come to Menards, we do it very often since we are home remodeling, and we are now starting to remodel my sister's home but today was the last time we do our shopping here. 4 months ago we ordered cabinets and counter top, the cabinets came 2 months later, I had asked the lady incharge for plain white cabinets she mentioned that Medallion's whitest white was Icing white, my cabinets arrived a cream color and incomplete since the delivery company or warehouse lost our pantry so we had to wait 1 more month for the pantry. Anyway I tried to call and figure out why my cabinets came the wrong color, well truns out the color that was recommended as the whites white at Menards was not the whitest that Medallion offers, a derect employee of Medallion confirmed that their whitest white is Sea Salt, NOT Icing white, despite the big mistake, we decided not to make a big deal about, that until our counter top came and it's is totally not what we ordered, I personally took Michaela Woods and her co-worker and pointed out the design of counter top I wanted. For some reason they decided to pick a different one for me.... All I can think of is that she accidentally clicked on the wrong item. She failed to go over the papers she had printed for us and failed to tell us to check the papers to make sure everything was correct, my husband and I were so disappointed because we thought we were trusting a professional. They did not fix anything for us or will not accept they screwed up our order, they said it was our fault for not checking the paperwork even though they are supposed to select what the customer chooses and they need to double check, they are the "professionals" there. We spent over 23 thousand there and the only thing there is to do is to pay a 25% restocking fee, which its about $600 for returning the counter top. Be very careful because you will specifically tell them what you want but they will choose something else for you and will blame it on you for signing the "purchase agreement". We trusted the lady with our selections and she was not careful when entering it on her computer. I am beyond disappointed and upset because I paid so much for what they wanted to give me. She also lied to the store Manager and told him she whent over the sale agreement which she did not do. That day she still said Icing white is the whitest color of Medallion when it has been confirmed by Medallion that it is not. She should not be incharge of that department for sure. Will not be back to a Menards!

I don't understand why the don't carry the CPVC fittings when they carry the pipe.... But I run into that same problem across the store. They spend way too much space trying to be Walmart.
