Only one person working for entire store and copy center. Store is rated "as busy as it gets" because customers are wandering the aisles in confusion, and any action (from shipping to asking a question to checking out) takes 30-40 minutes. I reshelved my items and left.

Store is in such disarray, no staff that you can see. Went in on a Saturday night at 4:30 only saw 1 employee working, I will not be going back to that store and will not recommend them to anyone.

The Ames store seems to always have issues with having prices clearly marked on their items. They could benefit from a program where you could look up the price from the bar code using an app on your phone

Employees were friendly, but there were bits of paper and items strewn about in many aisles. Bathroom had a huge jug of Dawn dish soap for the hand soap and looked untouched by any cleaning products for a long while.

Showed up at 5:26 to pick up an Amazon package from staples. Door was closed, locked, and gated when the hours on it stated 6:00PM closing time and so did online. Extremely frustrating that they seem to close whenever they please without notice.

The place is a disaster. Unable to find anything ever and the latest trip was beyond disgusting and a complete nightmare of fall risks/item fall risks. Past that mess and the shelves themselves were all but barren with inventory left on carts with the excuse I've heard many times over of remodeling or redoing the floor.
The prices for everything including clearance items are many times that of Walmart or Amazon and the quality isn't anything extra to call home about or of a variety that is special to the store like Target or other stores that would merit the price hikes.
They do have a few finds that are worth the stop-in every now and again but the location, mess all over the store, inventory issues, price gouging, lack of staff willing or able to assist, make this store one I ONLY stop by if I absolutely need to or happen to be visiting one nearby.
The last couple of years it has gone from a 3-4* store to a .5 star(*) or nil/negative star(*) establishment. Truly sad how these stores lose management and inevitably shut down over time.

Every thing looked cluttered there and they gave me the wrong desk chair and refuse a refund.one of the employees felt obligated to ask if I really wanted another desk chair but said I may not fit the weight regulations.

Nile and his associate in the copy/shipping area went above and beyond tonight helping me to package up a very awkward sized package. Even though I showed up with 5 minutes before they closed, their customer service was great. I kinda expected to get some complaint about the time and closing but they did not do that. They both busted their rears off helping me to get my package bubbled wrapped and safely boxed up. Thanks guys!

I just had the hand-down worst customer service experience of my life. "Green Hair" was not only unhelpful but very rude. Whatever happened to caring about your job, employer, and customers?Check out clerk labored - yes, labored, to ring up the sale. Store manager was a disaster. If you are going to lead others, you need to dress like a leader, not look like you just rolled off of a vacation.This store's staff is a disappointment from the Manager on down. It's time for a purge and replacement.

I can't believe Corporate leaders tolerate the incredibly poor performance of this store's staff. Their "I don't give a $#it" attitude conveyed towards paying customers by this staff, is blaringly apparent from the moment you walk in the door. Bad attitudes, rude, and dismissive behaviors are alive and well here. If you go in asking for help in the copy center, do not make the mistake of believing you'll get any. Save yourself the insult and frustration, and buy your own copier. If you ask a reasonable question, don't expect an informed or professional response. The employees here do one thing very well: driving their customers toward other alternatives. Amazon, anyone?
