“My tire valve is metal which I was told made it easier to brake since it gets so cold here.Eventually my valve broke and my tire went flat. I brought in my flat tire to them and they took care of me immediately!!! I called them and he was so kind on the phone and told me to come on in. They fixed it in less then 10 minutes (mind you I was a walk in) and then told me to take it and everything was all good. Laid out my choices in terms I could understand and didn’t upsell me when I just wanted it to be drivable and would come back at a later date to get everything completely fixed (sensor) didn’t pressure me into the more expensive option and was overall kind and considerate. I will be back!!! Thank you for your kindness in my stressful situation!!!!!!”
“Had major issues with my car they fit me in there schedule first thing in the morning the next day! They did all the heavy lifting going thru the warranty process and getting ahold of Hyundai of DSM . They got me all the contact information that I needed. Total class act people and business!!! “I'm staying in Ames while my mother is in the hospital here. My regular mechanic is in Chicago. I heard a loud noise coming from under my car every time I went over a speed bump in the hospital parking ramp. Took my car to Macky's and asked if they could look at it. A very nice man immediately came out to the parking lot, looked under my car and was able to fix the problem (heat shield had come loose) in a few minutes. He very nicely explained everything to me, made a recommendation to have my mechanic take a look at it when I get back to Chicago, and I was back on the road with no more funny noises a few minutes later. Great experience--definitely would go back if I had another car problem while in Ames.”

“We had a situation with my wife's car losing power and stalling which several other mechanics in other shops had been unable to diagnose. The mechanic at Freedom Tire told us to bring it and he'd fit in in. It was only a couple of hours before he called us to say a chimpmunk had made a bed in our air intake out of the filter and also destroyed a sensor. It was only a few hours later and the car was fixed. New customers for Freedom Tire!!!!”

“Two weeks ago I decided to get my tire pressure sensors replaced. The light was on my dash for months. They provided me with an estimate, and it was a quarter of the price of what the dealership estimated. I went for it and was very pleased. In under an hour, all four sensors were replaced and the light went away! Two weeks later all is still good, and I am happy with their work!”
