“The folks at Campus Garage are very friendly and professional. Their prices are great and they never cheat you. I feel like they're the best overall garage in Ames. That said, you'll want to schedule appointments in advance--they are often very heavily booked.”

“I'm staying in Ames while my mother is in the hospital here. My regular mechanic is in Chicago. I heard a loud noise coming from under my car every time I went over a speed bump in the hospital parking ramp. Took my car to Macky's and asked if they could look at it. A very nice man immediately came out to the parking lot, looked under my car and was able to fix the problem (heat shield had come loose) in a few minutes. He very nicely explained everything to me, made a recommendation to have my mechanic take a look at it when I get back to Chicago, and I was back on the road with no more funny noises a few minutes later. Great experience--definitely would go back if I had another car problem while in Ames.”
“I came in an hour before close on a Tuesday asking to have my tire patched. I’ve never felt more comfortable at an auto repair shop! They couldn’t patch the tire because of where the hole was but they were honest, friendly, and made the time for me. I left free of charge with a quote for tires. I unfortunately have a warranty that covers tires at my dealership. I wish I could give them more business because they were amazing. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs them. Thank you!”
