“I'm staying in Ames while my mother is in the hospital here. My regular mechanic is in Chicago. I heard a loud noise coming from under my car every time I went over a speed bump in the hospital parking ramp. Took my car to Macky's and asked if they could look at it. A very nice man immediately came out to the parking lot, looked under my car and was able to fix the problem (heat shield had come loose) in a few minutes. He very nicely explained everything to me, made a recommendation to have my mechanic take a look at it when I get back to Chicago, and I was back on the road with no more funny noises a few minutes later. Great experience--definitely would go back if I had another car problem while in Ames.”
“I’ve always had great service at Ames CarX and today was more of the same. Needed a blinker bulb changed and the mechanic got me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Bonus to start my day was no charge. Car repairs stress me out so this was a blessing.”
