I stopped in to get 4 green treated 2x4s. The lumber isle was filled with children doing a kids workshop. I saw a guy grabbing 2x4s over children's heads. This is probably the most unsafe I've ever seen, I wasn't going to risk injuring a kid to get my lumber. Lawsuit waiting to happen.

We purchased a freezer at the Home Depot in Ankeny this afternoon. We got it home, took it our of the box and there is a large dent in the side. No - we did NOT purchase a scratch and dent model. I called the store and the "Customer Service" employee kept telling me to read him a number off the receipt. There was no number on the receipt where he said it should be. But, I read him literally every number from the receipt. After several minutes, he put me on hold, and after several minutes of waiting, a female came on the line and gave me a phone number to call. However, I will need to wait until Monday because they aren't open on the weekend. I will never make a purchase at this store again.

Love coming to this Home Depot. Everyone is always so helpful whenever you ask them to help you assist in finding something that you might not know where it is.

We’ve had a lot of issues with the Home Depot Credit card since we got it last year. Citibank seems to have very little idea of what they are doing, which unfortunately reflects poorly on Home Depot. Brandon at the customer service desk went above and beyond to help us get everything sorted out even though it took several calls and about an hour of time. He was patient and made sure we had everything we needed before we left. Brandon needs a raise ?

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had a 1000.00 flooring check from the sellers of our home. I went to purchase flooring and they ran the check and handed it back. I confirmed 3 times that the check wasn’t needed. The cashier stated no it was good. I kept the check anyway because it seemed off. A week later I get an email stating they would in fact need the check. I replied no problem next time I am in I will return it. I placed several orders for appliances, cabinets and other remodel supplies in the meanwhile. My husband stops after work to check on an order. The manager Danielle Houghton takes it upon herself to tell him “ he can’t pick up our orders until the check is returned”. It was never my responsibility to hold on to the check, although I did and planned to return it. How dare this place threaten to keep my paid merchandise based off an error on the employees behalf and not even the order with the check applied. At this point I am just praying to get the rest of my items and NEVER use Home Depot again!!!

I would NOT recommend using Home Depot and their subcontractor Crew 2 for kitchen refacing project. In two weeks it will be ONE YEAR since we have paid almost $13k and the project is unfinished and poor craftsmanship. Have went through your customer care department and no resolution. What is a very unsatisfied homeowner to do?

Moved to Ankeny Wednesday. Thursday we had our appliances delivered. The company Home Depot utilizes for delivery tried to rush out the door before making sure that the washer and dryer work. It's like they knew that they were broken. The store manager tried to tell us it's our problem, but was escalating it. I have a 4 year old that's potty training. A stressed out dog who's stomach is upset and no washer or dryer to do laundry.

Most people there are not wearing masks. Even the employees. And they treat the plants horribly. They aren't watering them and there are some that are just put in the pot with out dirt.

Worst customer service experience. We spent several minutes finding someone to help, despite 2 workers within sight of us having their own conversation. The gentleman that did help us, Edwin, was not from the area we needed help in, but tried his best to assist and research our questions. We ended up at the Customer Service desk, where they refuse any kind of help, offered absolutely no options, resolutions, or assistance. No apologies or “sorry we aren’t able to help you”… just NO. In talking with a manager today, several options apparently WERE available and not offered. No plans to return to a store that has this kind of approach to customer service.

I really want there to be a "not sure" button. We drove there today living over an hour and half away, to order a fridge because we are out of delivery range we can not order on line and have it delivered to the store. Our salesman was a peach & very helpful, however when we got home, we were looking at the paperwork and notices that it was wrong fridge, we called Home Depot and were told there was nothing they could do over the phone we would have to drive back down there and cancel our order and reorder a new one. Did I mention we live over an hour and half away??? The manager wasn't any help either and very rude. So while our in store experience was good, our "over the phone" experience was awful not sure we will buy from them again.

Poor customer service at service desk. Item I wanted to purchase was not on shelf. Asked customer service to check availability was told no longer available. Found the item online on the Home Depot page at a higher cost. Customer service representative would not honor the price. Sent an email to corporate got no response. What's going on Home Depot??

Piss poor customer service. Returned a rug that I bought online, wanted to exchange for a different size. WOULD NOT Allow exchange and would not order the right size in for pick up. ONLY would give me IN-STORE credit but I couldn't order the rug IN-STORE. I have to go online and re-order it but couldn't use the in-store credit from buying the other one. Refused to give a gift card instead to use online. Ladies in customer service were awful to deal with and unpleasant. Went to use the in-store credit on a different item and the name was spelled wrong so the cashier wouldn't allow the in-store credit. Had to go back to the miserable customer service ladies to get it overrode- would not fix the name to be spelled correct so we will see if I can even use the rest next time. Called and spoke with the manager and they were just as miserable.

I got a set of cordless power tools here and they worked ok. Huge building. Could be better set up, like Menards is. Clean. Family friendly. Friendly staff. Lot parking. Prices were ok. Marcy'sDinerTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids.
