I just recently moved to Ankeny so I was going to switch from the hyvee in grimes to this one but when I first called about switching my prescriptions over the lady who answered was very rude when I was just trying to ask questions. I then decided it would be best just to stick to the Grimes location where I felt welcome so I make that commute. I the had to get an antibiotic and I figured since this pharmacy is close to home I would choose this one. When calling to ask about the prescription, the lady was once again very rude and made it clear that she didn’t want to help me. She told me it would’ve filled in 15 minutes. I then came an hour and a half later and my prescription still wasn’t filled and the lady at the drive thru was also rude about me not knowing questions that should be on my file! I definitely recommend just making the commute to another pharmacy where you are welcomed and the workers are willing to help you at all times.

Absolutely terrible experience. Waited an hour. First time ever having to write a review for something like this

Was told at 4pm, my prescription was not a “priority” when I inquired as to why it hadn’t been filled, though they had it for two days. Critiquing makes no difference obviously. Look at the rating and number of 1 stars, going back years.

They have made the filling of a long-term medication difficult each time for months. Today I called at 9am, was told they didn't have an order and there were no refills left but they'd promptly fax the DR. and get it taken care of, Drs office indicated they had sent the order. I went to pick it up at 2:30, it wasn't ready. When I inquired as to why it hadn't been filled yet, was told "because it wasn't a priority." Take your business elsewhere or risk dealing with incompetent and/or apathetic pharmacists.

I'm not sure why there are so many ultra-negative reviews. Yes, drive-thru lines can take awhile, but I know to avoid certain times of day (after-school, etc.). I have found the employees inside of the store to be fairly quick to help customers, and the automatic renewal system helps a lot. They are always good with answering questions, or getting someone who does know. With my particular insurance, they're also the second cheapest in town (and quite a bit more convenient to me than the other choice). I've always gotten the correct medication, and if a refill Rx is needed, they call doctor's office first to see if it can happen automatically. Compared to the Walgreen's store I used to go to, it is much better. (And, if I DO have to wait for anything, I can get a few groceries and check back; I hardly ever need anything else at a drugstore to keep me busy while I wait.) I've also been pleased with their vaccination services. If I need to call them, I've never waited longer than 4-5 minutes for help. Inside the store, I've seen many more customers be the slowdown problem, not the pharmacy employees. Yes, there is an occasional issue, but that's true at every pharmacy I've gone to.

Perscriptions set up for delivery don't get delivered for 4days
My Perscriptions were to be auto-renewed monthly and they have failed on these as well.
It's really sad when we lived by Jordan Creek we never had problems with the Mills Civic Hy-Vee...makes me wish we never moved

So incredibly slow. Just a few cars means waiting forever

I am shocked to see that this pharmacy has a 2.5 average. I expected it to be way worse, considering it is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. It almost feels like you are an inconvenience to the workers when you show up. Not to mention the prescriptions are never filled even if you call ahead. If I had another option I would use it, but unfortunately this is the closest to my house.
Also, don’t send me a response asking me to reach out to management with this complaint. You reach out to management and share the feedback, that is your job!

Literally the worst. Long lines are problem but the least of my problem with this place... when there aren't long lines employees sometimes will just ignore you for several minutes before coming over.. I understand they might be in the middle of something but just rude to not acknowledge you and let you know they will be right there. I sporadically get the text messages letting me know its ready, but usually not. Most of the time when I go in there to check b/c of course I'm not getting a text for my monthly meds its never ready and its always a 20 minute wait to get the 30 pills into the container that should have already been ready.
My last straw was after waiting for 15 mins at the front while they worked on figuring out why yet again my med wasn't ready but now were going to get it ready, they finally came over and said my prescription was 6 months old and could not be renewed....by the time they told me this and I had waited at the counter the pharmacy was now supposed to be closed and the next day was Christmas Eve....it felt like they just didn't want to deal with figuring it out b/c of course they wanted to go home...I meet with my med person once a month and she renews it in front of me...so I know this isn't the case. I was irate especially knowing getting this figured out on Christmas Eve was going to be impossible.
The woman pharmacist there has no customer service and always acts so put off by having to come over and talk to you...even though you didn't need her too.
I officially stopped sending meds there today and would tell anyone I know to switch. I've used Windsor Heights Hyvee for 12 years before moving 2 years ago and they were always kind and professional and my meds were always available when they were supposed to be and I always got the texts, so that I didn't have to come stand in a long line only to find out my meds weren't ready when they were supposed to be already.
I also know this isn't just a me problem b/c its always happening to the people in front of me, my husband, and friends I know who go there.

I stopped here three times in a week, and experienced excellent customer service while enjoying a well-stocked store. I like the layout, and this is a large store. Quality produce, deli looks good, and there are numerous areas for personal items.
I appreciated the kindness of the staff, and the number of amenities the store has for customers.

Be prepared to stand in line for half an hour every single time you come. It doesn’t matter the time of day either. The line will be to the door. But it is america and we all need our drugs don’t we?

I am absolutely disgusted by the service I received today. The worker at the pharmacy would not send my medicine out through the tube claiming there was too much to fit. She could have sent two bags and been fine, right? Nope. She brings out all of these individual medications in their plastic bags instead of putting them together in a big bag like everyone else typically does. She brought them to my car in the drive through and began yelling at me that next time I need to come inside. I told her that my child has Covid so I went through the drive through. She again began yelling that how was she supposed to know that when none of this medicine is for Covid. I’m sorry, is there a new medication for one year olds with Covid? Don’t think so… and we had nebulizers sooo? Not that it matters or excuses her behavior. I then asked what her name was and she said Susan. I called the pharmacy to speak with a manager and they said there was nobody who worked there with that name and that Michelle is the name of the person who brought out the meds. Not only was she extremely rude, but not knowledgeable about medications, a liar and disrespectful. Absolutely disgusting!

Always very long wait. No longer getting texts about when meds are ready, even after bringing this up last two visits.Last straw was meds were returned before I could pick up and was told to wait 15 mins for new refill which turned into an hour. Will be switching pharmacies.

The pharmacy is always rude to me every time I call them on the phone, talks over me, and treat me like I don’t know what I’m talking about. I only go here because I have to for insurance otherwise I would go elsewhere. The same thing happened the last time I called to have a prescription filled. She tried to tell me that I had to wait to get it filled, when the doctor clearly increased the dose and sent over a new prescription, and what do you know I was right. Then they filled it. Made me wait several days as they were not going to fill it, unless I called and told them to.Today I was being questioned why I thought insurance would cover it at hyvee and not at Walgreens. I mistakenly had it sent to Walgreens and needed to transfer it to hyvee due to insurance contracts. The tone in their voice really upset me.I’m tired of being treated as if I’m unintelligent and don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m tired of the pharmacy person that answers the phone giving me an attitude. I’m tired of feeling like an inconvenience. I agree with the other reviews on here about them being rude. Completely unprofessional. It’s an absolute pain every time I have to call and sort out and issue. I will switch to the other hyvee from now on, though I don’t have faith in it being much better. And I swear DO NOT reply back with your basic copy and pasted reply of “can you please give us a call or email to management and sort out this issue”, that you reply to on every single other negative review. You couldn’t even edit the name of the other recent review of 2 weeks ago and straight copy and pasted “Hello Name”. That is sad. That further proves the lack of care, and are only doing that for show. no I’m done calling this place I’m sick of it 10-4-2023 at 4:45pm
