Make sure when you’re checking out your seeing what things are bringing up because some of them are not ringing up with the store percentage off is for the store closing and if you pay there is no return!!!

Spent quite some time trying to get my order to go through on the app I couldn’t get to pay for all of my items at once. Called the store and the person was rude and said they can’t help and I need to use a computer.
Called the manager and asked if I could get the items myself and complete the order and she said the items would all be full price if I did. Everyone else in the store was clueless and just said they couldn’t help.

Josh is the most incompetent manager I have ever seen. The store is ran poorly and just walking around you can clearly tell from the aisles. Things that show available online are not in the store and when you ask any employee including Josh they just shrug. I will not come back to shop at this store ever again 0/10

I came to the store to buy fabric for ten blankets. I was met by a lovely young gal who was very helpful and I explained that I had a big order and handed her two bolts and she told me that she would begin cutting while I went to get the other bolts to be cut. I had them laid out and just needed to go back to get them. When I returned the lady that was NOT helping me told me others were ahead of me and to go to the back of the line which was six people deep. I said I was already in the middle of the order and the that I was being helped. She continued to tell me to go to the back of the line. I said "you mean to tell me in order to finish my order that I already waited in line for, I have to go to the back of the line when I already began?" (Obviously I can't carry ten bolts of fabric at once!!!! ) She rudely told me to move my fabric and they would "get to it" when they could. I had been there for a twenty five min picking all the fabric, waited my turn in line and WAS NOT GOING TO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE! I was disgusted by the customer service. Disgusted at the way I was treated and LEFT!!! She was older and short with thin black hair. (In case management cares who it is) Wish I had her name. Lost my business for good and the sale of making TEN blankets for the children of my daycare.

The store allows dog training of multiple dogs. Which shouldn’t be happening near fabrics that people may be purchasing for themselves or others who may have allergies. If you sell your crafts you may want to consider shopping elsewhere. They also blocked off the entire front section by the fabric. Walked around them multiple times hoping they’d move, but they did not. So wasn’t able to purchase some of the items I came in for. Used the 10 minutes in the checkout lane to purchase additional stuff via Amazon instead.
Out of stock of a lot of items. Seemed disorganized. Two women I overheard stating the same thing and made it difficult to find what they needed. They just walked out without purchase.

I recently ordered an item from Joann, but unfortunately, it arrived broken. I called the ankeny store to explain the situation, and they handled it wonderfully. They replaced the item free of charge without any hassle. The staff was courteous and efficient, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Joann in ankeny for their outstanding service and dedication to customer satisfaction!

Store inventory is not up to date with what the website says. Lady working in fabrics was rude.

Friendly staff. Great coupons, just make sure to show the app at checkout. Most of the time they will show me a coupon for a better price. I also enjoy window shopping at JoAnns.
