This location has poor customer service.I had concerns about the arrival date for a suit rental and they told me to kick rocks, basically. They didn't offer me any solutions or attempt to put my mind at ease in any way."Well, that's the way you set it up."I contacted the online Customer Support for Men's Warehouse and they helped me appropriately. I'd avoid the Ankeny location.

Horrible experience!!!! I will never shop here again. I rented a suit from here because I was the best man at a wedding and figured it would be cheaper than buying a suit. The suit was insanely expensive to rent, it was over twice as expensive as buying a suit even from them. They also got all of my measurements wrong so when I went to go pick it up, nothing fit so they redid the measurements and told me to come back the next day to pick it up. The next day was the day of the wedding but they said it would be ready by 10 am. I called them at 10:30 am, they said it wasn't ready. I actually went there at 11:00 AM and it still wasn't ready. They finally called me to tell me it was ready 15 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start. I had already borrowed clothes from my family and was all dressed even though the pants and suit jacket did not match at all so I just told them to keep it and give me a refund! Completely unacceptable and they didn't care at all!

We worked with Mens Wearhouse for our wedding on August 5, 2023. We rented suits for the dads, groomsmen, groom, and little ushers. There were a few employees who were great to work with, however the majority of our experience was not great. We were misinformed on pricing- including them trying to charge us over $200 per rental suits for the children- which then were reduced the the children’s price of $90. All rental suits were very simple- white/black colors. One of the dads suits was completely wrong in sizing, including even the wrong color shoes- not sure how you accidentally order brown shoes with an all black/white rental theme. One of the children’s jackets came with huge white stains on the back, again clearly wasn’t looked at before bagging. And one of our little ushers ended up having two different shoe sizes. Any time I, or a member of our event needed to contact them regarding an issue the female manager at this store was snarky and rude, as well as some of the employees not knowing what to do at all. On the phone she even said to me when she was frustrated, “apparently I need to train my staff better”. Going forward I would not use them for wedding events but would purchase from their store.

The lady that works there was super nice! She even stayed late so that I could get my order in and have it delivered on time. She made the whole process easy. Would definitely recommend them she even made it so that I could pick up in the west Des Moines Store.

9 suits were ordered in February for a June wedding, NONE were completed correctly. We had to sew buttons on for the suspenders and parts of suits were Never received. Drove over 2 hours to pick up a jacket,arrived at 8 pm and they were closed. Will never do business here again!!!!!

Andrea was amazing to work with at the Ankeny location. She helped my husband find a new suit and helped our son find two new suits for interviews. She styled them head to toe, answered all our questions and was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this location. It's our second great experience!

RUN away!!!! Took both sons in for prom. Sales guy was nice & helpful but….when helping us they offered they would honor prom discount prices on suits in front, said new son got $40 discount. Sign stated spend $500 get $50. Altering was $15 they charged $15-25 each adding to $111. So spent $900 w/ NO DISCOUNT. Faults advertising! Plus they hadn’t been giving us rewards credit on our past purchases. Then I had to ask for it to be put in a plastic bags to take it home in the snow?. Guy was going to send a new suit & white shirt home without a cover. HORRIBLE service & on top of this the lady manager accused me of lying?

Absolutely the worst customer service I have received when looking to purchase dress clothing. The salesman was rude and completely unprofessional in communication and the lack of interest in assisting me... My first time in this store, will be my last!Guessing this branch in Ankeny is doing so well, it does not mind loosing customers.

I have one star because Logan was kind and helpful. We rented seven tux’s from the Ankeny store for a wedding and received the worst customer service. The manager Robin argues with the wedding party and was belligerent. One groomsmen's jacket was to small and they said would be ready the day of and wasn’t so his jacket was too small. Another groomsmen was told they didn’t have a shirt small enough and that they couldn’t do anything g for him and it would be the same price. Not one person was told the date to return them and they were all charged for being late. The grooms jacket was to big and they said they couldn’t fix it. They didn’t care that most of the suits were misfit, they didn’t care that we were upset and the manager basically told us it’s our problem. The manager Robin called to tell the groom he is wrong they are not, it’s our fault, and he was very argumentative and rude! I wouldn’t give them my business nor recommend them to anyone. Logan was a sales person and was the only helpful person. The female that worked there was extremely rude upon pick up. I understand hiccups happen but the treatment and belligerent customer service was unacceptable.

I decided to rent my wedding tuxes from MW based on my prior experiences being good with mens warehouse. However, both times I went into the store, once to be measured and the second to pick up my tux. The staff was rude and dismissive both times. This last time when I went in to try on my tux and make sure it fit, it felt like I was wearing a trash bag, I had at least 6 inches of space between my body and the jacket if I pulled it out, instead of the 2 inches or so it should be. Despite myself and my fiance pointing out that it did not fit me well the tailor and the manager(?) that were helping us swore up and down that it fit the way a tux was supposed to. Let alone the fact that my pants were so large I had the adjustment as tight as it could go and they were still falling down. I did not feel like arguing with the employees so I took my tux and went home. Today I tried it on again in my home and I was still very displeased with the fit so I took my tux to the West Des Moines location. Once I got there I mentioned that I wad at the Ankeny MW and the employee gave a knowing look to me, and when I put the tux on to check for the fit he immediately agreed it was much too large for me. It was very quick to get the proper size ordered and I really appreciate the help I got at WDM. I can't wait to go back and shop there again. But I can't say I plan on going back to the Ankeny location.

Greeted at the locked front door during regular business hours with a sign stating “short staffed”. I have sympathy for businesses these days - so many are short staffed. I would have appreciated an open door, though, with a personal explanation and perhaps an offer to come back later or make an appointment.So —- went out to the West Des Moines store after calling to make sure they were open. They had all kinds of blue, gray, black suits, but nothing at all in a tan or brownish hue. Asked if we could special order something in that color scheme and were told no, can’t/won’t do it. I know brown’s aren’t a popular color these days, but to turn down a customer flat? They could order a suit online as easy as I could, but they didn’t want my business. After trying 2 different MW’s and striking out at both, I’m not likely to ever try them again.I went across the street to Von Maur and was immediately greeted, measured and found just what I needed (though selection in browns was very limited,too).Just SO disappointed in MW. Feel it’s a management issue. But they won’t be in business very long if they keep treating customers like this.

We Went to the Mens Wearhouse in Ankeny Iowa today to pick out the clothing for our wedding. The sales consultant, who’s name was RobinM was fantastic. He was direct, knew what he was taking about, was helpful with colors and what would look good together. He was friendly and fast. Thank you so much!
