The new SUV was better, but it wasn't clean. Wasn't worth the 15 buck

Tried to pay for vacuum with a card, only option to pay with a card was to buy a gift card that didn't end up working for the vacuums at all.

I've been a loyal customer of Splash Car Wash for years, and I'm always impressed by their clean facilities and excellent service. But what really sets them apart is their self-service spray bay area.
As someone who's tried both the automatic car washes and the self-service spray bays at various car washes, I can confidently say that I prefer the latter. While the automatic car washes are convenient and quick, they often leave behind a film or residue on my vehicle, especially if it's particularly dirty. Not to mention, I've had issues with them scratching my car's paint in the past.
The self-service spray bays at Splash Car Wash, however, offer a much more thorough cleaning experience. With the ability to control the water pressure and temperature, I can ensure that my vehicle gets the deep-down clean it needs without any harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes. Plus, I get to choose exactly how long I want to spend in the bay, so if I need extra time to get those tough spots off, I can take it.
The facilities at Splash Car Wash are always spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of soap and water available for a thorough rinse.

Disappointing, really. Presoak is mostly out, multiple vacuums missing and/or hoses gone, the two vacuums I could get to write all jammed up with coins and not usable. Shame, this place used to be kept up better.

As usual at Splash Car Wash, this morning the self-service bays were clean and had plenty of pressure. I washed the woman's new Tahoe at Splash yesterday, and my truck today. This is the only wash in the Metro area I use, because i know the quality of wash is consistent, at a fair/low price.

I'm not going to lie, its no luxury wash, but if you grew up a rural midwesterner like I did, this is going to be a lot better than buckets and hoses and washcloths.
Don't let the negative reviews affect your opinion, reading through such people seem entitled and perhaps even a touch spoiled and at times, impatient. What they don't tell you is the wash bays are highly economical- $4/4:00 of wash time, and this is a reason I'm docking a star, but the card readers do not work. Just bring cash in one's and fives and use the change machine. Worth noting that it usually takes me $8.00 in quarters to wash and rinse, and who gives a damn about blow-drying? You're gonna drive in the wind tunnel that is Iowa and start getting dirt on the vehicle all over again. Definitely worthwhile if you're getting tired of the sight of caked on dirt and mud on your vehicle, particularly after winter.
Out back there is a big fountain area with vacuums that also let you shampoo your car upholstery. Huge life saver when I had some hard to remove stains. I forget how much it ran, but it was affordable. I think it's also a quarter situation.
Note: I presently don't know the price of their automatic wash. It's more fun to get out and spray things down in the wash bays, anyhow.

Place is fine. I have waited over 30 minutes twice in a row while people sit in the bay and wipe their car with a toothbrush or something that could be done in the parking area outside the bay. They need to charge people for their time in the wash bay, not their time using water or soap or whatever. People are inconsiderate and this business does not seem to be taking action against this.

Went in to vacuum out my car the other day, parked next to one of their trash cans to clear the trash out of my car first before proceeding to a spot with a vacuum so I wouldn’t hog a spot before I was ready to vacuum out my truck and was approached by an older employee. The employee acted as if I was only there to throw away my trash and leave. Told him I was there to clean out the interior of my truck and he then proceeded to tell me " The vacuum's are over there.” Have never felt so unwelcome and I have been going to this car wash for the past 8 years. Now reading other people’s experiences about rude employees, I will NOT be returning.

Have a car show to go to tonight so I stopped by in a manual wash bay to wash my already mostly clean car. I take the detailing equipment out of the car so I can get to it quickly after washing the car (wheel cleaner, microfibers, etc) and I swipe my card to start the wash. Immediately an employee walking into my bay and yells at me not to “hog the bay with all this” twirling his finger around my detailing products. There was nobody in line behind me and multiple other bays were open. I wash my car since I already swiped and when I get to the parking lot to dry and detail it, there are almost semi-permanent run off marks from what I can only assume is the “spot-free rinse”. Needless to say I will have to wash my car again today since it now looks worse than when I went in…. Would not waste your time with it.

Paid $12 for a car wash and this was what my vehicle looked like afterwards. I had to take my vehicle to a different car wash because this one was so bad. Avoid
