They were advertising a free car wash and then refused to honor it saying it had ended for the day. They tried to get me to enroll in a subscription plan. When I left the kid was still out advertising a free car wash. Anyone running scams like this deserves to be out of business. There are plenty of other car washes in the area

I used to get my car washed here all of the time and didn't care much for a membership because I live 30 minutes north and never know how often I can make the trip each month.Normally when I try getting a car wash an employee will come out, try selling me a membership, I say no, they keep pushing, I say no and they let me get a single car wash.Today however, I went to get a car wash and an employee came out to talk me into getting a membership and I kept saying no and he was relentlessly pushing me to say yes. He had told me for the first month I would only be paying $10 and if I didn't use my membership more than once this month I would be able to cancel. I kept saying no but he kept pressuring me.I ended up saying yes, I might as well try it out for $10 the first month. Come to find out upon charging my card, I was paying full price: $34 + tax this month. I am beyond frustrated with the service I received today. Getting my car washed should not be a stressful encounter and I'm sick of trying to get this service and being harassed by employees every time.I'm sure there's some sort of quota but lying to already paying customers is not the way to get it.

It would be nice if they would spray the front and back of the car as well as the wheel wells like the rest of the places in town. My car never really gets clean. They blamed it on the old manager but other than the week the new manager started, it never got any better.You are the most expensive place in town, please start earning that…It would also be nice if you had a lane with just a scanner and no payment kiosk or had people signing up for new memberships go to the office. I have sat for over 20 minutes (when I didn’t just back up and leave) a few times with you sign up new members in both lanes.

I was a General Manager at Rocket Carwash earlier this year. They took over our company in Iowa a few months after I started. I rose in the ranks very quickly (because of the high turnover rate/company instability). Everything was going fine, until Rocket upper management came to Iowa from Omaha, Nebraska to do a hostile takeover. They attempted to bully all of the current employees until they quit or just outright fired them. The Chief Operating Officer, Blake Newman (in my opinion) is not a people person and should not be in a position of power. Have you ever heard of the word "megalomaniac"? You should go look it up. Upper management also showed bias toward male managers, paying all of the female managers (with more experience) less money than their male counterparts. The HR representatives are partial to upper management since they know them personally, which makes filing complaints against anyone unheard of. The HR representative who worked with me most often, attempted to gaslight me on several occasions. The company is often severely short handed and HR would say there are no applicants, while at the same time sending 35 new hires to their newly opened store in Altoona. Most people at our store were working double the normal amount of hours weekly (in a salaried position) making the hourly wage of a general manager less than they paid the 15 year old part time employees. They also have unfair business practices. When a customer signed up for a membership, they were told that they could cancel anytime (per Rocket) and after they took completely over the company they began to scam the customers. They made it so that the managers had no way of cancelling the memberships. The customers had to follow a QR code and fill out a form and "someone would get back to them within 72 business hours." The 72 hours often never came. Alternatively, customers could call in and speak to a CSR (customer service rep). I personally have been placed on hold waiting for someone to answer this line for over an hour. I had one elderly woman (87 years old) who had only washed her vehicle one time in January, drove back through the wash the same day and told them she wanted to cancel her membership. In August, she was at my store asking why we charged her credit card for a membership that month. After doing in depth research, I found that her membership had never been cancelled, and Rocket had been charging her $40+tax for seven months. I waited on hold for a CSR for 95 minutes and finally spoke to someone...
All in all, avoid this company.
