I just moved to Ankeny two months ago and the two packages that have been delivered to the mailbox instead of the door have been stuck. They put a mail key inside of my personal mailbox to open a bigger locker to get my package but the keys don’t work. I’ll get told me the second time I went in matinence would go that day and fix it. I have called them every day for three days asking them to get my package out considering I need it tomorrow for work and I went in person the day it happened. They told me they would get it out within 24 hours and it’s now 3 days later. Today and the day I went in 3 days ago, I spoke with the supervisor of the store. He told me today that he would personally go get my package from my mailbox (2 minutes from their office) and deliver it to my doorstep after they said they would do the same thing the past 2 days. No surprise him and my package never showed. Now I don’t have my package that I need for work tomorrow because it’s locked inside of my own mailbox.

I am a newly licensed professional and need my license hung up on my wall per state/law requirements. The board sent my license out a month ago and was informed my address was incorrect and could not be delivered. My address details were correct. I don't understand the incompetency of this specific post office location. This is not the first time, nor probably the last time, that we will continue to have issues.

Went in to get my passport photo and file the papers. The guy that I got was very helpful and thorough. I believe his name was Jeffrey.

Very rude on the phone. Said they would call me back after having me on hold for 10 mins, didn’t call me back. 15 mins later they were closed.

This is probably the best and most smooth running USPS location I’ve ever been to. The employees aren’t grumpy, and extremely approachable.

No accountability for damaged packages. Employees completely unmotivated to handle customer issues. Every procedure is tedious and partially irrelevant. There is a reason the postal service is slowly dying. Choose ANYONE ELSE to handle your shipping needs.

Bought a dress that cost me $40+ and the post office decided it wasn’t deliverable and considered it a “perishable” item and threw it away without warning. Very upset and hope for this to be rectified.

Would rate zero stars if possible. This location is terrible, especially when it comes to areas that have cluster box mailboxes. If a mailbox is full the carrier just sends it back to the sender and marks “invalid address” without any communication or opportunity for us receiving the package to try and go pick it up. This has happened to me more than 10 times and am sick of it. It seems like there is no training for the carriers or just lack of care. They are doing what is absolutely easiest for them and costing us loads of time and money.

World’s slowest service. I stood in line 45 minutes today to mail 1 little envelope! Please get more help- there were 22 of us waiting in line!
