A great little book store in downtown Bellevue, IA. The owner was sweet & very helpful. We found quite a few books for my soon to be first grandson. Highly recommend stopping by. ???????????

Nestled along the Mississippi River in Bellevue is a terrific bookstore run by a wonderful owner, Sheila!Street parking available, and the interior just act and feels like a neighborhood bookstore, but the warmth of the store a what separates it from most others. That begins with Sheila and her dog Buster, as they specialize in books but elevate the whole experience with personality. I went inside for an atlas, and discovered a great place!A Chicago native, Sheila is a treat. She knows her store and her town, and is helpful as can be. Kind, aware, and vibrant, what a fun person.

Sheila (the owner) is so friendly and happy to assist as is the other gal that works there. Her pup Brodie is a cutie and always fun to visit with them. She has so many different items. Wines, Dune Jewelry, kid's toys and items and more. Have never been disappointed stopping in and will make trip from Ames to see them and shop!!

We love shopping local and supporting bookstores such as this one - but one thing that we don't like is rude service. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately greeted by the lady at the desk with a very disdainful stare and a curt "we're closing in twenty minutes". She immediately turned and barked at another customer with the same message. I could tell from the look on the other customer's face that she was as taken aback by the rude welcome as we were. On a side note, it's marketed as a bookstore but there's as much for sale here that isn't books as there are actual books. Sadly, can't recommend a stop here.

I have an 11 y/o book worm that already finished 2 books on our long weekend away and just needed a new book. This store was along our path and a great stop. Not just books but they have plenty of those. Cute and funny nicknacks and quote signs also.
