I sent my engine to have them rebuild it, and dealt with Mark through the whole process. His customer service is not great in general, but I put with his personality through the process. Upon receiving the engine, it looked great, but they had not packed the engine well, and an exhaust stud was broken off in shipping. I called to see what could be done, and it became obvious that it was on me to fix it. So, after spending two hours extracting the broken stud, and installing a heli-coil, I got a call back a week later from Mark. He blamed everything on UPS, when it was clear the packaging was terrible, and said it was not his responsibility. I asked if he would pay for the heli-coil kit ($25), and at first he said no, then said he would if I ship him what’s left of the heli-coil kit I bought (of course expecting me to cover shipping). I think their engine work is ok, but zero customer service. I spent $1150, and he couldn’t spare $25 to make this situation right. I had a 350x engine I was planning to send over to them, it I’ll never deal with them again, and will post in the other motorcycle communities that they are to be avoided. Too bad really, as it would have been easy to make this situation right.

Bought 2 ATVs from bettendorf location. First one has been fine but the second one went in for rear axel leak had for 4 weeks with no communication. Then finally got it back to me.Rode it twice and realized that it is still leaking from same spot. Spoke with service about setting up a time for it to be picked back up so they could fix it FOR REAL and has been another 4 weeks without a word from them. Seems to me all they care about is selling a unit. No after care. Just spoke with owner Mark and they are officially refusing to fix telling me the squeal and leak are normal because though it is leaking it is not dripping on ground

Tried to buy a 1977 GL1000 listed on CycleTrader for $5000 by this place. The write-up extolled the virtues of the GL platform but was nearly absent of detail of the bike they were selling (giant red flag). I messaged the dealer via the CycleTrader app, and the salesman called me immediately. I asked for a video of a cold start and a run up and down the RPM range, as I don't want a 45 year old bike with a worn out transmission in need of an immediate carb rebuild. It took multiple communications and phone calls, as they didn't want to provide any videos (saying too many people waste their time asking for photos and videos). So, I made an offer to pay the full asking price and would send a deposit so they would know I'm a serious buyer. They rejected the deposit since I'm coming from Atlanta, and I can't get to Bettendorf until sometime in October. They finally agreed to send the video I asked for. But the video I got didn't show what I asked for. They made excuses as to why they couldn't make a video that did what I asked. The sales manager told me it smokes on cold start, the oil level sight glass has been eliminated with a non-OEM dipstick, and the tach needle moves slow, but refused to show these things in a video. Their suggestion was for me to drive to Bettendorf from Atlanta to look at it myself. In the end, I told them that I couldn't trust them enough to buy a bike from them. I'd like the bike, but I can't buy from places that I'm not comfortable with. I've bought bikes sight unseen before ($40k RC30) because the dealer graciously provided every detail and went the extra mile, but not this place. I suppose if you're local, you might be able to make a decent purchase decision

About two years ago, I took my Kawasaki multi-carb bike in to get some work. It was running on only three of four cylinders after winter storage. They called me in a couple weeks and said it was finished. As I was about to ride away, the young guy, service manager I suppose, said, the bike might use a bit more gas. I asked why, he said we richened up the jets and raised the needles. He also said it was a very good running bike. Indeed it ran well but used alot of gas on the way home, not just a little but a lot. the next day, it started right up, but not with usual choke applied. it would only start with no choke. It was close to the end of the riding season, so drained the bowls, put it away. next spring, it started up after sitting all winter without any choke again but soon fouled a plug, then another a few weeks later. After talking to the dealer, the service manager says I wasn't probably riding it enough, not hard enough, etc. I showed him a carboned-up plug out of my pocket and manager said maybe the needles need to be lowered. Long story, short, didnt want to trust the bike to them again, sent the carbs to someone who specializes in these carbs, he found the carbs jetted way too rich and needles way too high for a stock bike with only a bolt on muffler. A very expensive mistake for me, paying twice for carb service.
