She was extremely rude and doesn't deserve 1 star. We will never do business with them again. The vehicle was filthy. Not deserving of any stars!

Tamara was a life saver!!! We had our ball mount improperly installed at pick up in Michigan, realized the problem at the Illinois boarder, then by chance found the most helpful and trustworthy employee at this Iowa location. She totally fixed our problems and was happy to make our set up 100% square and safe.

Terrible parking. There were like 5 cars there but only 1 worker. Tried buying moving supplies but after 15 minutes of standing in line, I left. SLOW customer service. Not sure how that place makes money unless it's a front for something different.

Great place to fill a propane tank. Can take a little while to get help when they're busy but generally a good experience. Also easy to rent a truck or van on short notice.

A business with no integrity. Only to be upstaged by its own parent company-U-Haul corporate. Manager Koob , cannot be trusted. Customer service at U-Haul likes the words, I am sorry. There are no solutions. Expect disappointment. Incompetence is the company policy. The customer does not fit into the equation. In fact, U-Haul sees its customers as the problem. Pete

Pathetic service. Did not provide what was reserved, deposited, and double checked. Packing materials are flimsy. Customer service severely lacking. Your competitors will soon be putting you out of business with this kind of approach.

Been driving by and noticed that they sold bike carriers that fit into a hitch. I stopped in to check if the carrier they sold would fit on the back of our Jeep Wrangler with spare tire (32s). The short blonde guy asked if he could help, I explained what I was needing and he said they are over there. I asked pricing and he said they are on the rack, I looked and the pricing was not where you could see and the employee was oh shit let me look, ok that one is 150 I think. I explained what I was needing and asked what time they close and if my husband stopped by could he see if the carrier would work? Employee said well we could measure I guess. I asked did they have the 4bike carrier in stock, employee said I don't know and stood behind the counter, I asked could he look so I wasn't wasting my time sending my husband, he made a blowing sound and went and checked. Fast forward 5 HRs and my husband stopped by, he looked at the carrier and the older gentleman behind the counter was making a comment to another customer that they weren't going outside to hook up any hitches to customers vehicles because it's too hot (it was 92 degrees on Saturday) the gentleman tried to ring up the carrier when my husband wasn't ready to purchase he wanted to measure first, the employee then said well it will be a few days before we can go check because it's 100 degrees outside and we aren't going out there. I cannot believe the type of customer service these employees are portraying in our community. The bike carrier was not a need of ours but the other customers where needing the trailers or trucks to help them move. In the end we went to Dicks sporting goods and spent $50 more on the same product because of the type of service that was given on this Saturdays.. I would never recommend this store for your U-Haul needs!!

Terrible Uhaul experience!!!! I had reserved a truck online for the Coralville, Iowa location. I got a call from Uhaul at 7:30pm Friday night saying the closest truck I could pick up on Saturday morning was in Bettendorf, Ia, which was an hour away! We had no other choice but to pick it up and drive it back. I had reserved a dolly as well, which was never on the truck!! I called the Bettendorf, Ia location and they told me I could come back and get one from an hour away! I put in a complian and the manager, Ryan, was supposed to call me (never did). Also, when we picked up the truck the lady named Nicole told us to check the gas and odometer, but never the dolly. Nobody ever showed us the Uhaul and how to work it. On my way moving, I received a call saying my drop off location was going to be Ames, which my preferred location was Des Moines. Which was another 30 min out of our way!! I called Uhaul and they switched the drop off location from Ames to DesMoines. Uhaul said we didn't have to pay for any extra miles because of the inconvenience. We dropped the Uhaul off in Des Moines, and a guy we spoke with said they didn't have any record of us dropping off our truck, even though I had a confirmation email. The gentleman there said we had to pay for the dolly (even though one wasn't even on the truck and had to pay for the extra miles even though we were told we didn't have to). They gave us the wrong number to speak with Ryan from the Bettendorf, Ia location because they told us that is who we need to speak to. I had tried calling this Ryan 3x and not once has he returned my call. When they printed out my receipt at the Des Moines location, it was blank with no amount on there. So I don't even know how much total I paid for. I felt like the gentleman working definitely wanted to get rid of us. I have used Uhaul in the past and this was by the far the worst experience!!! I will never them again!! And I will make sure all my fiends, family, and coworkers never, never use Uhaul!! This event happened on Saturday May 27th. This is Wednesday May 31st and I still have not heard from Ryan from the Bettendorf location. The Uhaul expense already came out of my account and STILL being charged with a dolly! This service is completely unacceptable! Ryan from the Bettendorf location doesn't follow up and is a terrible manager so it seems. I really recommend not ever using them!

I have had several bad experiences here and so have other family members. I have been trying to get the field manager to call me so I can get this taken care of but it always goes to Ryan the GM. He has lied and said the issue was resolved when it wasn't. There have been so many issues with this location and I have been trying to get a call for over 2 weeks now asked for copies of the conversations I had and have only gotten one and there are 6 other conversations that I have yet to get. I would not use this location or recommend any location in the quad cities until there is a change in management. I give one star because zero is not an option.

Tom, Connor and Noah were wonderful. Our car had issues and could not pull the trailer. They went beyond the call of duty to help. Tom was great making sure I was able to complete my trip!!! Thank you! I HIGHLY recommend using this Uhaul service center!!

Traveling thru from out of state and stopped in last second to find a car hauler. I can't give a good review on their prices (the company definately knows they can make a killing on it), but I was superbly happy with the customer service. All the guys had patience with me and my small toddler while I was trying to sort thru what I needed. The guy who helped me the most was named Tom. He called around and seemed to try hard to help me find the equipment I needed that they didn't have located on site. Ultimately, I didn't rent from them as they are waaaaay too expensive. But I would've for the customer service alone otherwise.

1. Our original reservation was not honored. We were not give the 4x8 trailer as reserved, though there were ample trailers on the lot when we arrived. They were still on the lot, unmoved when we returned after our trip. 2. We checked 3 times on the reservation and each time the day and times were wrong. 3. We came to the site 2 days prior (Wednesday night 8/26) to have Uhaul check our vehicle to see what was needed to connect the trailer. The associate said nothing was needed. 4. We arrived Friday morning at 7:30. We were given a beat-up trailer that had patches on the top to keep it from leaking. I learned then that we could not hook-up the trailer. We needed a hitch adapter, a hitch pin, and a 2" ball. 5. We had to drive to a store to get the adapter and ball, connect the ball, and attach the hitch. 6. The associate said the lights weren't working and we couldn't take the trailer. He offered no assistance. My son scraped off the connectors with a stick and it worked. The associate Wednesday night and Friday morning were either inexperienced or incompetent. It seemed as though it was too much effort to help us out.

I am very unhappy with a call I just received from your local agent but I will remain professional because some has to. I made a reservation on 2/23/2015 for a 26' truck online for the dates of 3/21 and 3/22. Almost a full month in advance so your representative could have ready. I just rec'd a phone call from Todd at the UHAUL location at Spruce Hills Drive in Bettendorf and he stated that I will only be able to have the truck from 7am to 4pm on one of those days 3/21/2015 or I will be subject to paying for the persons rental after 4 pm! This is an extremely unethical way of doing business. I am paying the Full day rate on a truck that I reserved a month in advance and am now being told that whoever wants the truck at 4pm get preferred consideration over me who reserved the truck with more than enough advanced notice. Again this is extremely unethical and if this is not resolved before Saturday I will be very disappointed with the UHaul brand name and in today's competitive market that in not something the Uhaul brand name can afford. Talked to Shannon at the regional office in Des Moines and she said I am out of luck because Uhaul does not maintain their trucks well enough and they have had multiple breakdowns so the Uhaul business practice is to shave time off (rip-off) everyones rental period to stretch the depleated fleet so they can continue to make their money under the falsehood of customer service trying accomidate everyone. I am going to make it my personal quest, and trust I have good resources to do so, to run the Uhaul Brand name into the ground for this extremely unethical way of doing business.

I have to edit my comments . . . After a sleepless night full of anxiety, which was completely unnecessary, we arrived at U-Haul at 7:00 and were informed that the did indeed have a truck available for the time we had initially requested. Ryan, at the store was polite and helpful. At 10:00 the check-in procedure went smoothly and the truck was in very good condition. U-Hauls reservation system has some problems, but this specific store treated us well and provided the requested equipment. Very frustrated with this U-Haul this evening. I reserved a truck on line and received 2 confirmations that it was available. Then, after scheduling the movers and making all of my plans for our move tomorrow, I received a phone call they they did not have a truck available when I needed it. There is one available 5 hours earlier, but that does not help. Business is now closed and corporate cannot offer any assistance. I will be there at 7:00 with my reservation in hand demanding at the very least the $50 they say they will pay for their "guaranteed reservation."
