I have lived at my rural address for nearly 40 years so I have had many different carriers. All but one have been extremely friendly and go the extra mile to ensure the accuracy and safety of my deliveries. I live down a long driveway, quite a distance from the road and in bad weather the carrier carries my packages all the way to my porch so they stay dry. I really appreciate their service for an old man!

This post office doesn't deliver directly to the house, private road with group mailboxes at entrance, but the mail carrier will drive all the way to the dead end at very high rate of speed. Our speed limit on 96th Ave in Blue Grass is 10mph not 50mph. She's going to hurt someone. This is a private road meaning little kids play up and down this road, hence the 10mph limit. That carrier needs to respect our limits before she runs over a child riding their 4 wheelers.

We have always received polite service from both postal facility and the rural carriers. However, yesterday the carrier came somewhat earlier than usual. As she approached I realized a contractors vehicle was inadvertently blocking her access to our mail box. I rushed to the end of my driveway to apologize and to receive my mail. We made eye contact as I hurried to get the mail directly from her. As I got within 5-10 feet from her she threw the mail on the end of my driveway and drove off. I am thankful the driveway was dry and it was not windy out. I was speechless. I am over 80. I am still shocked and dismayed.

Love this Post Office!! I have my own business and do a lot of shipping. You could say I'm a frequent flyer for past several years. I drive from Davenport just to use this facility. I had always used Davenport Post Offices until I stumbled across Blue Grass. Never any lines, plenty of shipping supplies, the clerk is very knowledgeable on the products and services, and always very helpful. I use this Post Office knowing im very well taken care of. I also understand the Post Office is not a pack and ship facility, I buy my own tape and packing materials and have my packages taped, labeled and ready to mail when I arrive, with a few exceptions I might need help with. As far as bad reviews, I have witnessed very rude customers upset at the clerk and Postmaster for things that were out of their control, I have witnessed customers expecting them to hand out free supplies, (where can you get free anything in this day and age), never have I witnessed the clerk on her phone except one time I was in there and they were helping a customer with directions, which seemed to me like that was above and beyond a postal clerks duties. I will always use this facility and would recommend it every time!!!! It's worth the small drive for fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

Don't waste your time trying to ship a package, 1. Won't take package if not taped up and you will have to buy tape 2. Package might be to heavy 3. We don't have labels unless it's priority. Now I know why rock auto uses fedex and UPS, no wonder USPS is broke, same as below on comments for the front desk lady.

The lady that runs the front is so unmotivated, always sitting at the desk on her cellphone. Today, I took a package to her (that she posted with postage) and that package arrived back with postage due $1.84. And she took no responsibility for HER mistake and basically told me "not to worry about the postage due." So I am not going to worry about the postage due. I am a frequent customer at the Blue Grass, Iowa station, but not any more. I will go to the Buffalo, Iowa station, as those ladies are friendly and very helpful.

Staff always seems to throw a fit when your not a shipping expert and don't know anything about boxes or shipping.
