Terribly slow and inefficient. I called the phone number for the local Burlington branch and found myself circling in an automated system for over 8 minutes. When it finally decided to forward me to a live person it said my wait would be approximately 10 minutes! I just hung up and went to the bank. As a new customer, this happened to me twice in one week. I received a special offer in the mail and it definitely wasn't worth the hassle. I've banked at MidwestOne for over 20 years and when I call I speak to my local branch in less than 1 minute. I've been very pleased with MidwestOne and I highly recommend MidwestOne.

Have only always had excellent experience with this bank. Originally opened an account here as I was dissatisfied with the other banks I've had accounts with in the past and I was not disappointed. All the staff I've dealt with here have been friendly and helpful. I agree there's a lot of questions at the ATM, but I feel that helps keep my $$ safer. I do wish there was a tiny awning for the ATM so that the screen wasn't so hard to read during the sunny days, but other than that I have had quick, smooth, courteous and friendly staff each time I've gone here. I like knowing I have an on-ground bank because sometimes digital banking alone just doesn't cut it.

Do not use this bank. Deedee Weicher was awful to work with. She was very rude and condescending, and she lied multiple times during our exchanges. She will treat you like dirt, especially if you aren't very wealthy. I guess she assumes that not being wealthy means that you are unintelligent, and she treats you as such. I've never been treated with such blatant disrespect in my life, as I was by this horrible woman. Worst experience. A nightmare. Go elsewhere. Trust me.

Fee this! Fee that! And don't get me started on the ATM. Customer service is lukewarm at best and the lack of accountability is irritating. Choose to bank elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've had this bank account for about 3-4 years now and when I first opened the account I was living in my college town, which why this would be considered my home branch. Just two weeks ago I got a call from the branch manager Sue Easton saying she wanted to do an account review, now she never mentioned what it was for and she started asking me questions about my transactions which were all legit transactions. As she's asking me the questions she's giving me this snooty tone as if I was lying about my transactions, so I asked her what is this for and she says there was suspicious activity on the account, so I'm like what is the suspicious activity and she can't tell me what the suspicious activity was. She assure me that she would pass the information along and that next Monday I wake up to an closed account. Now I'm totally thrown off because we just talked about what I thought I was put into place so that my account wouldn't be close. So I took it as the lady thought I was lying to her and I feel if I was a WHITE women the account would have never closed because if I told you everything was legit why would you still proceed to close my account. I called her to ask what's going on and the first thing she says is " I was expecting you to call me" like we're friends or something. I asked her why she closed my account and she tells me she can't disclose, but this is something that could potentially effect me in a negative way (a hit on my credit) and I did nothing for this to happen. I called this branch to speak with a supervisor and was told they were busy by Sue, then 20-30 minutes later I'm getting a call back from Sue saying she's the highest person at the branch but just minutes ago the "supervisor" was busy. Everyone is giving me the run around and I still haven't heard back from the district manager. This company has displayed their LACK OF Integrity and they treat loyal customers poorly. I just really feel discriminated against and this is very very ridiculous they make me want to take legal action. DON'T BANK HERE!

a bank is only as good as it's branch manager, and this one deserves less than one star.

Find some place else to bank. They refused to open a savings account, because they were closing in 15 minutes, and the teller said it takes 30 minutes to open one. If a bank can't go the extra mile to service a new customer, then it's not worth your time to bank there.

Every time I go into the bank and they can never find my account. I have to show them my ID and give them all of my information and then wait 10 minutes just for them to find my account. I closed one of my accounts through them and they never fully closed it.

I used to love my bank but sadly I now HATE my bank. Thier new bank ATM is mounted in the building now facing outside, so they say, it can be serviced from inside. Obviously s convenience for them . MAJOR problem for customers since it is along the wall where teller windows are and the commercial customer window is the window that shares the wall. So sit and wait to get to your machine then get ur transaction done, then ur stuck in the line while commercial customers complete their business. And they removed the downtown ATM. I am planning on changing banks. Aside from that the overdraft fees are highway robbery. Had a problem on vacation, simple mistake on my part, I admit it. Cost me over 200.00 in fees. Got home checked my account and immediately set about fixing it. Almost a week later, problem resolved by me. I start receiving mail overdraft notices in the mail. They charge if ur over drafted too long. Someone without modern technology would have really been screwed. A little quicker on the notifications.

The staff at the U.S bank in Burlington Iowa make me feel very uncomfortable by staring at me with a very rude face the staff needs to learn how to do there work and not stare. Also I'm younger and I make more money than any of you in a week.
