Super cute, quaint, extremely clean, delicious breakfast, very personable and accommodating hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. In the future, we will skip the hotels and stay here instead!
Food and drinks: The hosts put a lot of time, thought and effort into making a special breakfasts for their guests that tastes great, looks beautiful, and incorporates local products and traditions. Very impressed!

Lavender fields inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast! My husband and I stayed one night as a little ‘baby moon’! We really enjoyed staying at Jeff & Barb’s place! The home was decorated beautifully! We learned that Jeff is a professional gardener and his gardens are stunning! Barb makes an excellent and delicious breakfast too! We felt right at home! We would definitely come back, and recommend friends or family to stay here!
The room was spacious and clean. Each room has a bathroom, our room had a mini fridge which they included some bottles of water. The bed was comfortable, they also provided several different types of pillows on the bed which we enjoyed as well!
We highly recommend staying here, the price is so reasonable, breakfast is delicious, and the hosts pay attention to every detail!

Excellent location, easy to find, however 5.5 hour drive from home. Lovely yard. Great firepit. Wonderful breakfasts. Amazing hosts.

Beautiful stay at Lavender Fields Inn. Barb and Jeff are incredible hosts and very welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable and relaxing, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Madeline Marie room, which had its own private patio and fire table. We will definitely be back!

So refreshing to be treated with dignity and kindness. Barb & Jeff’s attention to details, is in everything they do; very clean rooms, incorporating the elegance of the past with the comfort of the present, and using garden fresh ingredients for their yummy breakfast meal, and all of this with hospitality that is warm and genuine. We absolutely loved our stay. This home is beautiful, our bed was comfortable, the owners are the nicest people and we will never stay anywhere else when traveling to Decorah. Thanks Barb & Jeff, we had an amazing stay!!!.

We have enjoyed two stays at Lavender Fields, and I'm sure we'll be back. The accommodations are as pictured (even more beautiful if that's possible), and Barb and Jeff make staying there a unique experience. Convenient parking and check-in/check-out. The breakfast was clearly made with love and the best local ingredients!

Nearby activities: Pivo-Brewery just down the road. You could walk there.

I had such a lovely time that I'm dying to find a reason to visit again! Check in and check out were easy and Barb was kind enough to let me check in early to get ready for a wedding I was going to in Lawler. The room was super clean and lovely with a comfy bed and bathroom. Barb was a kind and gracious host, I loved the homemade breakfast and lavender to take home after I checked out. Spent a relaxing morning with some coffee and a book on the porch (enjoying all the flowers out front too!) and there was also a nice sitting room inside. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at Lavender Fields! The garden was amazing when you pulled in, automatically creating an inviting aura. The house is beautiful with so many perfect little touches throughout, such as purple soap, lavender flavored sugar cubes, beautiful handmade coffee mugs, cute little figurines, and much much more! Our hosts were gracious, and had good knowledge of the area. The breakfasts were cooked with love and were simple but delicious! We enjoyed the outdoor patio amongst the garden area and staying in the Upper Iowa area with Decorah not too far as well as Prairie Du Chen for a short drive was perfect! Absolutely staying here again!

We went away for our anniversary and wanted a relaxing and romantic weekend. We went to the PIVO brewery up the street per Jeff's recommendation. Jeff was warm and welcoming. Barb's breakfast was homemade and amazing. They are the perfect couple to run a B and B! Will be visiting again. ???
