“I bought my wedding dress from Bridal Country and I generally had a really good experience. The negatives I had were mostly minor and overall were outweighed by the positives. Here's the good: It was easy to schedule appointments for me and my bridesmaids and they did a great job of helping us schedule appointments well enough in advance to account for shipping and alterations. I was never concerned about the timing. They have a huge selection of dresses, and when I was there, they did a great job exposing me to styles and dresses I liked, but might not have picked out myself. The wedding dress I bought was perfect. I love it so much and the alterations--which they do in-house--made it fit like a glove. It was comfortable, elegant, and matched my aesthetic effortlessly. I got many comments about how beautiful my dress was, and I felt the price tag was just right. For that matter, most of their dresses were very reasonably priced without sacrificing quality. After a whole day of mostly indoor wedding festivities, the dress held up great, and I'm looking into getting it cleaned and preserved. The negatives were mostly minor, but altogether were notable: While they have a great selection of styles, most of their sizes were between 6-12 or larger. They had a very limited selection of smaller dresses. To find my size, I actually had to try on a prom dress. When it came time to buy my dress, I needed a size 0, which they had to order--no big deal. There was a suspicious ~2 week delay between me placing the order in-store and later getting a call that I'd have to rush ship it to get it in time, which cost $75 extra. Then, when they got the dress, it was a size 2 instead of a size 0, and it needed significant alteration which cost extra and required additional appointments. Looking at my original receipt after we got the dress, it does say I ordered a size 2, but I think this may have been a typo I didn't notice until after we already received the size 2 dress. Regardless, the communication after we ordered the dress was poor and may have resulted in me paying more for the dress than I should have. I'm fairly confident it was an accident, but a costly one nonetheless. Lastly, they were a bit overbearing when me and my girls were trying on dresses. It just felt like they were always there a little more than they needed to be. At times I just wanted to be left alone to talk about the dresses and such with my bridesmaids. They were also really opposed to shipping one of my bridesmaid's dresses to her--which is understandable--and insisted I take it with me which added some logistical burden to my planning. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend Bridal Country. You can trust them to find you the perfect dress and to alter it just right. Just make sure to check your receipts carefully...”
