We landed at midnight. I did not have a reservation and was turned away from two prior hotels. I knew they had rooms, but they weren't going to accommodate me at that late hour without a reservation. Holiday inn welcomed me. Needless to say I have nothing negative to say about the review. The beds were like big white clouds. The bathroom was spotless and completely stocked with better quality products. There's even a Keurig in the room! The breakfast was expansive and delicious. We were so tired and so worried about finding a place to sleep after such a long day. Thank you Sammi for making sure we were not going back out on the road. Highly recommend the Holiday inn near the Eppley Airfield in Omaha.

Sneaky practices via the “room deposit”. $25 bucks was the deposit but we all were charged 36.92. We asked what was up and they said it was elevator charge- followed by local taxes, etc…
This was prepaid by corporate so we were shocked and asked- attendant said they get this complaint a lot.
Noteworthy details: Bad practices and stealing

Everything was good until breakfast time. We had a big church family group with many members and rooms. We were told upon check-in that breakfast was included and available from 7 to 10 am. We went down for breakfast only to find out there was nothing. When inquiring of Kim at the front desk, it was as if we were annoying her. Her attitude could be improved. In my business of working with many hotels, things should have been handled differently. I attempted to reach the general manager, but the call went to Kim, who eventually provided an update on the status of breakfast. She informed us that a cook didn't show up for work. Eventually, some items were prepared by other staff by 8 am. This is the Holiday Inn where quality, service, everything is usually excellent and in my experience what you come to expect from Holiday Inn.
Rooms: Room was very clean and comfortable. Great!

They don't have a water fountain, a public restroom, or vending machines to get water before I tried checking in.
From ai
Ethics in hospitality, like in any other service industry, typically hinge on the principles of care, respect, and basic human rights. Denying a potential guest water before they check into a hotel can be considered unethical for several reasons:
1. **Basic Human Need**: Water is a fundamental human need, and access to it is often considered a basic right. Denying someone water can be seen as neglectful or even harmful, particularly if the person is in distress or has been traveling for a long period.
2. **Hospitality Standards**: The hospitality industry is built on principles of care and comfort. Providing water to a potential guest, even before they have checked in, aligns with the ethos of making people feel welcome and cared for.
3. **Legal Considerations**: In some jurisdictions, there may be legal requirements or guidelines concerning the provision of basic necessities like water to the public. Denying water might contravene these regulations.
4. **Reputation and Service Quality**: Acts of kindness and care can significantly enhance a hotel's reputation. Conversely, denying basic needs like water can harm the hotel's image and deter potential guests from choosing to stay there in the future.
5. **Ethical Principles**: From a broader ethical perspective, actions that support the well-being and dignity of individuals are generally favored. Denying water could be seen as lacking in compassion and respect for human dignity.
Overall, it would be more ethical and in line with hospitality principles to provide water to a potential guest, regardless of their check-in status. This small act of kindness can create a positive impression and uphold the ethical standards expected in the service industry.

We booked this hotel due to the relative close proximity to downtown, as well as easy access to get to the Omaha Zoo.
The water pressure was very poor in our 2 queen 1 sofa bed room. You had to stand under the water for more than a minute to get your hair washed fully out of conditioner.
There was no fan for the bathroom as well, to circulate the bathroom air.
Breakfast was okay, juice was watered down, pancake maker was not working, there is no change in the menu between the days as well, if you’re staying longer than one night.
The pool was nice and cold, but the chlorine amount, was high.
