UPDATE: They had the nerve to ask for a 5 star rating. If I could give no stars, I would. Its been 2 weeks since my original review.This place is a nightmare. We can't get our original salesman, Mike Juhl, to call us back. He promised he'd get ahold of us the week after we purchased the camper. No call. We called him the following week and he said he'd have the service technician call us Tuesday. No call. We called again and now he won't answer the phone.We were promised we'd have our concerns addressed but so far, I'm less than impressed.Buyer beware.We purchased a used camper that had some things that needed fixed before we could take home. We were also promised that we could trade our kingpin hitch on our existing trade in when we came to pick it up 2 weeks later.When we came back to pick up and did the walk thru, the issues were not fixed. There were no keys to the camper either.Now we have to wait for parts again and bring the camper back in to another Camping World (we live 5 hours away from Cedar Falls).Hashing out these things took so long, the hitch didn’t get switched out either.Will update my review pending these outstanding issues.

We visited Camper World last week, looking for a camper to keep in our woods. We had the pleasure of meeting Devon, who compiled a list of new and used campers he thought would work for us.He patiently showed us all the campers, and went over all the options for each.We spent a couple hours there, and narrowed it down to two campers.We left there, not knowing which one we wanted or if we'd get either one. He wasn't pushy , but let us know we'd keep in touch.Devon was a great help , it was our pleasure to work wit him.

I had the BEST experience when I came to Camping World here in Cedar Falls Iowa. And that is all thanks to Patience. First timer going in and I tell ya what, they don’t call her that name for nothing. She was a tremendous help and answered any and all questions that I had with zero hesitation or grief. I couldn’t have been more appreciative of her. Thank you again Patience for being such a kind soul! And thank you Camping World for being everything I needed that day as well!

I will no longer do business with Camping World in Cedar Falls, after 32 years as a Camping World customer. We purchased a new rear bedroom 5th wheel from Camping World Cedar Falls in August 2017. We asked our salesperson if the single 12.5k BTU rooftop A/C would be adequate without a 2nd rear bedroom A/C unit. He assured us it would be fine as-sold. Thankfully, we also purchased the extended warranty for the unit although we usually don't buy these warranties.July 23 - Aug. 20, 2018: in for A/C service (not working in "auto" mode and compressor cycling frequently); no problem found, but CW replaced the thermostat. CW installed a rear bedroom A/C unit at CW's strong recommendation at our cost. Front A/C compressor was still cycling frequently, so CW replaced the front thermostat a 2nd time.June 21 - July 26, 2019: Front A/C stopped working. CW said the cause was compressor failure. A rainwater leak was caused by improper rear bedroom rooftop A/C installation. CW replaced the rear ceiling panel, A/C seal, and installed a new and larger A/C unit in front. July 21 - Aug. 18, 2022: Front A/C stopped working again. CW replaced the top unit, thermostat, and controller with identical parts.Sept. 26 - Oct. 24, 2023: Front A/C stopped working a 3rd time due to compressor leak. Only contacted by CW once to ask whether there was supposed to be a heat pump in the front unit. I responded not as far as I knew. CW replaced the failed unit with a correct single-mode. In conclusion, it took CW many years of mid-camping-season service encounters to figure out that they had installed a 2-mode (heat pump and A/C) top unit back in 2019 that was apparently incompatible with the heat/cool thermostat. In 2022 they replaced everything with identical (still incompatible) replacements. I did not receive any explanation of their mistake until I pressed for details. I did not receive an apology for their original mistake, let alone how many iterations-and many shortened camping seasons-it took them to figure it out. I even gave them the opportunity to "make it right" with me by doing several (mostly labor) goodwill gestures and they declined. I was told by 2 different CW Service Advisors on two separate occasions that "they don't make things like they used to". While this may be true, I let each of them know that I wasn't very happy if that was the case, since I spent almost $50k buying that "poorly made" 5th Wheel from them at the same location. This was particularly upsetting, because my wife and I were considering buying a new RV from them, and they'd even captured this in their service notes in 2022. The Service Advisors should have been blaming their department, rather than a poorly made unit. This reflects an unfortunate culture at CW where they're making excuses instead of providing competent, professional, responsive and prompt service to their customers. After being a long-time loyal customer, I am disappointed that I have received this kind of service and will be looking for a new dealership to purchase and service RVs

First time at camping world and I had a great experience! Not only did I feel welcomed as soon as I came through the doors by every single employee I also left with a smile on my face. Patrick was amazing at explaining everything I was looking for and was just a great all around guy! 10 out of 10 experience for sure!

We really enjoyed working with Tom Berns. He knew his stuff and was a big help. We went in thinking we knew what we wanted; he gave us an excellent walkthrough of the camper. Then he showed us several similar options, but without pressure to switch. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a camper.

We recently purchased our 2018 Jayco 5th wheel from Camping World. Tom worked with us to make sure we found just the right unit to fit our needs. All staff that we worked with were friendly and knowledgeable.

I bought a Coleman Rubicon 1608RB from camping world back in June and have enjoyed every second of it. The camper is perfect for my small family. We have traveled across Iowa and even took it out west to the Rocky Mountains. Devon Wells, my salesman, was very knowledgeable and understanding. A great guy to work with, definitely recommend working with him.

We purchased a camper a little over a month ago and cedar falls camping world has been a total joke since purchasing. You should be worried about keeping customers happy. We have been very forgiving but this is to the point where I'm having to now post a review and soon will be taking this to someone higher. We did our walk through of our new camper pointed out everything wrong. Was told the items would be ordered and we would get a call when it's time to fix. We got the call dropped off the camper and you've had it for 3 weeks! Was told it would be done in a week... so far nothing has been done and the items that was "ordered" and supposedly came in still are not in and only a few things off our list was even done! Also we paid for the fabric protection and was told everything would be sprayed... our bed wasn't even sprayed since the plastic was still on them so I truly don't even believe that the couch had it done. We have had to show up for updates. Extremely disappointed in the service department, service manager and General Manager if this is how they believe it is okay to run a business and take care of their customers.Update : three weeks since this review we still have not gotten a call that our parts have come in... we also called Dutchman and was told that the parts camping world told us would not be covered they are currently mailing us the parts because they stated that they never told camping world it would not be covered.

The service department has been wonderful with us! Actually, ALL persons we came in contact with were friendly and welcoming! Much needed when having issues with the RV! Our dogs LOVED all the pets and treats! Thank you!

I just spent over a hundred dollars to have a leak fixed in the fresh water line . it's sad that camping world has the same reputation everywhere. As soon as I turned on the spigot, water started running out of the bottom of the Rv. I told the service adviser exactly where the leak was and I was ignored Guess I'll find a real mechanic

Had an issue with the toilet in our camper, and we were several hundred miles from home. Went in to see if we could get help, but even though the camper is 4 months old and under warranty, the service department was less than helpful with getting the issue resolved. The solution was that we buy a new toilet and then I install it myself. They at least took the old toilet from us. I love Camping World, but I would not go to this location.
