There is a nice restaurant in the lobby, the cheeseburger was delicious. Ashley at the front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Our handicap room was easy to get around with my grandmas wheelchair and there’s no step to get into the shower which made it very easy for us to use.

Honestly, save your money. There are way nicer hotels in the Cedar Falls area. Upon checking in, we learned that the pool and hot tub are both shut down along with the little hotel convenience store. The check-in area leaves a lot to be desired and the rooms grossly over priced. The rooms are very outdated. The TV in my room is hung half crooked on the wall and we can’t straighten it and it’s completely covered in smears. The thermostat batteries are also dead. Also, the walls are paper thin and it’s been awesome listening to the couple in the room above me going at it. Worst hotel experience ever. If there would have been rooms at the Hampton Inn downtown, there is no way I would be spending the night here.

Air conditioner made grinding noise all night. The bed and pillows are terribly uncomfortable. The springs are worn on one of the beds so it squeaked with every movement. When explained to the front desk, they acknowledged the air unit issue but made no attempt to fix or compensate for a terrible night sleep. I've always loved Hilton but this one was a disappointment.

We live 5 minutes away but chose to stay at the hotel due to a family wedding and reception there. They have a beautiful property, and the outdoors set up was awesome! My complaints more come from the service we received. I received an email to do a no contact check in. I tried and tried, but it never worked. No big deal as the lady who checked us in was awesome. We got to our room, and it was 75 degrees in there. We immediately turned on the air. The room was not getting cooler, and we were trying to get dressed and ready for the wedding. I called the front desk numerous times with no answer. We turned it to 57 to see if that would make it finally cool down When we went downstairs, there was another front desk employee. She was not nice whenever we tried to speak with her. Told her our air was not working, and I know many others were complaining too. She said maintenance was still there, and they would be up. We went to our room multiple times with no change in the thermostat. We said something to her again, and obviously she did nothing, again. My husband finally said we will just deal with it because nothing was happening, and we were not going to throw our money away. When we went upstairs for the night, it was 76 in our room. We got a miserable nights sleep as we were sweating all night. Woke up and it was 75 degrees. Also, the bartender assigned to our wedding was a total mean girl. She was not friendly at all, ignored you even when no one else was there. Many people said something about her service. Shout out to the guy bartender in the lobby. He was nice and fun, and we ended up walking out there every time we wanted a drink. We love staying at Hilton’s, so this was a total disappointment.

Was asked to leave because management wasn’t happy we were celebrating my 9 year olds kids birthday and they offered no solutions to allow us time to contact parents early to pick up and instead said police would be called even though we had no transportation for them. Also had to pay for the rooms we were only able to use for 30 minutes. We were also told the hotel has a no birthday party policy but it’s not posted anywhere on the website and they were unable to provide documentation and asked us to go to comfort inn across the street.

I stay at this hotel several times a year. I've always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, and there is rarely much noise at night. If any problems occur during a stay, the staff can be counted on to follow up. (The bedside clocks are kind of quirky - desk staff can show you the trick for setting the correct time.) The food in the restaurant is generally good, and served at appropriate temperatures (i.e., hot food hot and cold foods cold). My most recent stay came at the end of a 12-day trip, and the Hilton Garden was definitely the cleanest of all the places we stayed.

I Have always enjoyed staying at this hotel. Stay every summer for a reunion of college teammates. The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. Maddy was awesome, went over and above in helping us. She deserves a big raise. I highly recommend this hotel.

We held a fundraiser at this venue and it was really great! Leslie and her staff were easy to work with and attentive throughout the entire process even with last minute changes. Space was more than adequate and high quality. Food was amazing. I had several guests tell me it was the best they had ever had!

Arrived at hotel and everything was great. Checked in and got into room that was nice. Spent the night and had the breakfast included with our reservation. It was good and good was good. Check out was simple.

We visit the Cedar Falls area several times a year and decided to try the Garden Inn. All three rooms needed shims to keep the dresser draws from sliding open. Our second room had curtains on one side hanging down. The third room had a toilet seat too small so you basically had to sit on the rim. No Kleenex (only an empty container) or conditioner in the bathroom. They are remodeling the lobby and when I asked I was told that there were no plans to remodel the rooms. No thanks we won’t be back.

Great experience at this hotel...friendly staff and very clean rooms. The beds were soft and I slept very well. Breakfast was delicious. I was there to attend a wedding and the reception was held at this hotel. It was a nice space. I loved the outdoor patio area as another place to hang out with other guests. Very pleasant stay and would love to return one day. Easy driving distance to the old downtown area with lots of fun and unique shops. Stroll through the UNI campus if you have time. It really is quite beautiful.
