They never have our prescriptions ready on time. They always say it's because they weren't called in, even when they are called in 3 or 4 times. One time, the head pharmacist actually told me that it was my fault for me not planning ahead when they didn't have my prescription on hand when my refill came up, sorry but I cant just get more of a prescription drug to have on hand when you run out. If I could give 0 stars, I would, because one is too many.

On Tuesday we were part of my mother in laws funeral procession on highway 34 in Southern Iowa. There is a distribution center not far from there. Every HyVee semi we met pulled over to the shoulder. The world needs more kindness like this. Thank you HyVee

We moved here 2 1/2 yrs ago and transferred our scripts from the xroads store in Waterloo. While there was some adjustment, we've been satisfied with the service.

it was a busy evening in store. we met friends for drinks in Wahlburger's restaurant late afternoon. Festive enough: a Coca Cola semi was parked out front all decorated & lit for Christmas season. inside Santa was available to pose for pictures and a string quintet from WCF symphony was playing in food court. Great ambiance and it's all downhill from here on. Friends were sitting at restaurant bar with an inch deep moat of water under their stools, it was coming from restroom and no one had come to do anything about it. I'm guessing restrooms are 40 feet down a long hall from dining room and goes by a door to kitchen somewhere back there because a chef kept delivering food from that hall and through pool of water. There was no bartender on duty. we had to summon anyone to get us drinks. A grumpy deli manager finally showed up and delivered our beverages. Then a kid arrived with a stack of towels to mop up water. I asked if he couldn't use a mop, but said he didn't think they had one, oh well. The deli manager went back to his food prep counter and offered no suggestions, help or encouragement to young man cleaning up mess. We never got a smile, greeting or asked about more drinks. Kids were banging their silverware on dining table in middle of room & as our party broke up, my husband & I decided to move out to selfserve deli tables, get a meal from food court & sat to enjoy music. There were a lot of dirty tables and being near front doors it was cold and drafty. Something should be done to enclose east side of deli dining room! Our food was okay, fried chicken dinners. I needed groceries from cheese island so proceeded to shop the store. I noticed produce area floor needed to be swept and mopped as I walked through. This is not where I do my regular grocery shop, only for gourmet items. I had a long list, my back was aching from time on bar stool so kept plugging through. First stop - cheese island at 7:15 PM & staff was cleaning slicer & covering the food in display cases. I have no idea what times specialty shops close, but this was ridiculous. They didn't want to but they relented, put slicer back into service and cut ham & cheese to my request. Next stop was meat counter & they didn't have any fresh chicken breast with skin & bones intact. Staff had to go looking for it in self-serve case. Meat staff wasn't certain where to find a couple more items on my list, so I asked to have help meet me. I waited about 5 minutes, no one came so I set out to try looking for big tortillas, dried fruit & jam. The meat staff came out to ask if anyone had ever arrived & so he found a couple young kids who knew exactly which aisles i should check, they were correct. By now I had been all over half of store, was really in pain, so I called it a night and headed to check out. I'll go to my little grocery another time for rest of the list. As it was, 2 paper grocery sacks cost me $54.00 each! The store seems to have plenty of staff around in various areas, but to me it appears that no one is working very hard, rather they are working hard to look like they are working. Somewhere it gets lost in translation that staff are loafing off. From what I observed this evening it seems none of young folks were ever trained to WORK, they seem not to know what they should be doing and the managers are sick of babysitting. The only saving Grace was that symphony group were finished performing at 8:00PM as I headed to my vehicle. I'll add one star to my review because that was really enjoyable.

My sister and and I went to pick up 3 prescriptions for her as it was her first time picking them since being in Cedar Falls. We walked up to the counter and “Lesley” her name tag stated, got the medicine, which only contained two. As we were checking out we asked about the other one, and she grumbled under her breath. After she finished checking and told us that a tech would need to help us she told us our total of $1.99. Although it wasn’t about the amount owned, we normally don’t have to pay because of our primary and secondary insurance. We asked about that. She said “Jesus it’s $1”, when a very nice tech women came to help finish our transaction. I recommend hyvee pharmacy but not Lesley.

I’m never one to leave bad reviews but I definitely want anyone who uses this pharmacy to know that it’s a complete gamble if you’re going to be connected to a professional and friendly staff member or one who is extremely rude and doesn’t take their job seriously. I had called for a refill two days ago and dealt with someone who shouldn’t be working in customer service let alone someone dealing with medications that impact someone’s LIFE. She spoke to me like I was stupid and didn’t explain anything that could help me before ending the call with “well we’ll see what we can do.” I’m now off my medication cold turkey which severely impacts my day to day life. I call back today and was met with an extremely helpful employee, she explained the situation and told me i did in fact have a refill ALREADY ON FILE. I’m very understanding about everything, maybe I wasn’t specific enough the first time calling. However, as someone who works in customer service, I will never understand people who are quick to be rude and act like you’re a bother especially when you’re trying to get something like medication. I will say, it’s not easy to put on a smile on your worst days and not every customer you encounter will be kind, but that’s why customer service isn’t fit for everyone.

Have been using them for about 7 months bc I have goodrx but am now looking to go somewhere else. It’s *impossible* to get them to do anything that requires more than 30 seconds of thought. They just will not listen and assume they know what you’re asking so tune you out. It’s really, really frustrating. I’ve worked in healthcare and had to call pharmacies for years— have never encountered one that so blatantly doesn’t want to help or understand you. I have to call repeatedly to get my controlled substance refilled each month even when I know my dr sent it in. I asked them if the med was coming as a different client or what but they were too busy to investigate so it just became a monthly pain in the a** for me.This month they charged me for a prescription but didn’t give it to me. When I called to ask if it was still physically there like on the shelf they just told me I signed for it. Yeah, I was picking up 6 prescriptions. But god forbid anybody spend 15 seconds LOOKING for me.Some of their employees are very nice when I come to the drive up window. If I was doing business in person, maybe it would be a better experience. But I’m tired of feeling like I’m bothering them and going somewhere else.

Worst pharmacy in the cedar valley. Staff is unprofessional and rude. Manager is an immature shell of a boy. How he was given the role to lead employees is beyond a joke. Treats customers like they’re disposable. My pregnant wife has gone here for her meds for the past few months. Yesterday, was told to find another pharmacy after waiting for her prescription for hours! This has happened multiple times. Frustrated and immaturely the manager made my pregnant wife wait in the lobby, while out of anger, he tries to find an alternative pharmacy for her. With no avail, he ends up giving her the prescription because it was “after 5pm and his shift was over and wanted to go home”. Unbelievable stuff people. NEVER. I mean NEVER go to this pharmacy. Especially when you have insurance, because looking up your information is impossible at this pharmacy. Takes hours. Which is the cause of all of this. Their inefficient staffing and clearly lack in management.

This pharmacy fills my prescriptions in a timely manner and I’ve never had any problems! They take time to go over your prescriptions with you, even if they’re busy!

They are by far the worst Hyvee pharmacy I’ve ever been to.Every-time I go they don’t run my secondary then get annoyed that I say “I have a secondary it should be covered” then I have to wait an extra 30 minutes. They always ask me when a doctor prescribes medication and they don’t have it ready “well do you need it today?” Yes, that’s why I’m here. They told me my scrip would be ready at 5-6 pm yesterday and didn’t text me until 7:50pm (10 minutes before close) that it was ready. I will be going elsewhere.

This Hy-Vee never has my prescriptions correct or ready. They are awful at checking for doctors medication switches. And everytime I do the drive through you can see them all in there messing around instead of focusing on get my prescriptions. I will be switching pharmacies.
