This is a terrible company to work for. I worked here in 2019 and I am still traumatized. Especially by the hardware department. They will write you up the minute you forget to do something. But when the manager forgot to change a price tag, I was asked why I didn’t save the proof of it. They are very eager to take mistakes and throw them against you. There is no redemption with this company. There is clear favoritism from general management. They will take their favorite department managers out to lunch, forgetting the ones they don’t like even exist. Let’s not forget that when I had to leave for life saving surgery, they wrote me up the day I came back for what I didn’t finish. Worst store ever. Absolutely terrible that they have left Menards with this reputation.

Cedar Falls Menards is one of the worst weekend managed stores I have ever been in. I ask for help several times. One employee came though the lumber building but said he was too busy. After waiting 20 minutes or more we got pissed and left without our order. The worker that said he was too busy was sitting out on a lumber pile on his phone. Gabe the weekend manager should be a toilet scrubber, not sure he would qualify for that either.

Sometimes, the checkout lines are long, but it seems to be the fault of customers not being ready rather than employees being slow.
