The Scheels team members are the best. Marty J. at the men's shoe department helped me choose the best pair of shoes that fit and have unusual comfortability. With her wonderful guidance, I was able to purchase Oasics Gel-Kayano 30. Also, Jaxyn O. and Lyndfey G. were both super helpful with the shoe exchange process because I had to return the one that was making my feet feel uncomfortable. Overall, all three individuals provided superlative customer service. I give them all 100 stars for being patient and helpful. Scheels Cedar Falls, IA.

If you walk into Scheels, you will immediately notice their commitment to customer service by the sheer number of associates. All of them are very willing to help - and knowledgeable too. I have experienced above-and-beyond service in the golf, gun, and archery departments where they've called multiple other stores for a product, patiently answered my plethora of questions, bore sighted scopes, and put new components on my bow. They are definitely a great sports store.

I waited for a half an hour by the bows and could not get anyone to help me. The one guy was busy putting a peep sight in and when he finished just walked away and got on his phone so I said to another salesman I was looking to get help at the bows but couldn't get anyone to help me, he said thanks and just walked away. I guess you guys make enough without me spending 2 grand at your store. It sucks that I still have a gift card for there that I will have to walk back in there to spend. I will go somewhere else for a bow though.

I made a purchase Saturday at the Cedar Falls store—$400+ golf apparel, and your salesperson (Maddie, Mandie??) made it one of the nicest experiences I’ve ever had. Very professional and friendly customer service.

Salesman tonight in the shoe department was phenomenal. He really helped me a ton. I got some Nikes that are quite stellar. I work long 12 hour shifts with endurance training after my shifts. I’m incredibly grateful for your store. Spectacular and stellar.

When the store was 2 different stores, there was so much more selection, fan gear, shoes etc. Then they build 1 store, and it's been disappointing ever since. The college team options are limited to like 3 or 4 teams without Iowa in their names. So good luck with that . The pro shop is not much better either, I know you need to stick with what sells, but more teams means more business. Not everyone in this area likes the Cubs, Packers, or Bears. I guess if you want a bigger selection for in store shopping you need to make a trip to Coralville Scheels or the Scheels in Des Moines. The shoe department (Men's) is ridiculously small and doesn't have a lot to choose from. I know online shopping is huge, but if people want to see things in person, they can't because either it's our if stock or they won't or don't carry a specific team. I am happy that Rally House has finally made it to Iowa and Eastern Iowa. Scheels needs competition because they just assume people will settle. Basically the pont is, the store is too small, and if you're into guns that's all that matters because that takes up a majority of the space. Just frustrated.

Scheels should have what you need when it comes to sports and outdoor adventures. The place is packed with stuff right up to the ceiling which may require assistance by an employee which depending on how you shop (in and out or linger all day) could be good or bad. Their employee to customer ratio is higher than the norm which reflects in their prices which gives them a high end feel but they do have the high end goods. These days you can’t shop or eat without some kind programming finding your ears and Scheels is no different as they share their feelings. It’s part of their brand and doesn’t bother me as I’m here to get something and get on with my day. Scheels is a decent sporting goods store with personable employees and better than average product availability. They even have a nice bicycle maintenance shop hidden back in a corner that gets no respect and has good bike techs and reasonable prices for the Cedar Valley. The location of this Scheels can be tough for the in and out shopper especially on the weekend as it’s in a corner of a parking lot trap with bad flow so bring your patience and game plan and everything should be ok.
