Fantastic service! Through a gait analysis, they helped me find shoes that were right for me. I had a great experience here and I highly recommend coming here if you’re trying to get into running.

I've never been properly fit for running shoes - due to knee problems and goals of becoming a runner I decided to visit TRF. Steffoni helped me find my 1st pair of actual running shoes that feel amazing. She put me in a pair of shoes then watched me run on a treadmill to see if there were any abnormalities with the way I run. From there she brought out about 10 pairs of shoes from a variety of brands and colors to try out until I found the perfect fit and comfort. Steffoni is very knowledgeable and patient. She also informed me that if I did not find the perfect color of a shoe it could be shipped to me in Atlanta. I'm excited to put some miles on my new shoes and can't wait to hangout with the Runner's Club the next time I'm in town. Once again, thank you so much Steffoni!

Amazing product knowledge and customer service. The Runners Flat does an amazing job supporting the healthy community in the Cedar Valley. Without them, I would be sitting on the couch instead of being in the best shape of my life. All skills and abilities.

After some daunting health diagnoses (ovarian cancer, diabetes, obesity, COPD) I found myself in need of reclaiming my health and physical fitness levels. Determined, I've set out on a daily walking routine only to be set back by some potentially dangerous foot issues (diabetic ulcerations due to poorly fitting shoes) ... Realizing I was not going to find what I needed in my immediate (rural) area, I set out to find specialty shoe stores. I was happy to learn of The Runner's Loft here on Yelp, and the reviews were extremely helpful. (***wishing more people would take the time to write reviews for this business...they deserve it***) As it had been a while since the last review was submitted, I phoned before hitting the road (this was going to be about 200 miles, round trip, for me) and was assisted by the owner, Scott. I expressed to him my needs and health concerns, and he assured me that he and his staff would be more than happy to assist, including being able to complete a walking assessment on a treadmill, which is filmed and reviewed by staff so they can look for potential issues with how you perform (walking/running) in your current footwear. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Stephanie who was attentive to my needs, empathetic to my health concerns, and set right to work getting me on the treadmill for my assessment. Once video footage of my treadmill walk was completed, Stephanie reviewed the footage with another staff member, Jack, and they also inspected the soles of the shoes I had been using for my daily walks, noticing that I do, indeed, rotate my feet in, which had worn down the inside of the heel of the sole. It was also determined that I needed more toe box space to alleviate the pressure on my toes that had contributed to the ulcer, necessitating my changing from a woman's shoe to a man's shoe, as they tend to have more space in the toe box. Stephanie and Jack had me perform a few more walking exercises for them; barefoot, and with some init selections of shoes. Observations we're made, and more shoes retrieved from the basement to try.... and, after several test runs, the perfect pair was decided upon! Not once did Stephanie or Jack balk at the prospect of getting yet another pair from the basement storehouse... not once did they become discouraged as I found fault with one shoe fit after another. Not once did I feel any judgement. They were both kind, empathetic to my needs, and professional. Also, I never felt pressured to buy this expensive shoe over that expensive shoe, etc. No pressure sales; I like that! I ended up with a well-fitting shoe, mid-price range, a store discount applied (without asking) and free shipping to my home address once my order arrives in store. ***that's my only negative...I loved the shoes SO much, I wanted to wear them out of the store! But, they were a special order to be placed just for me, so I get it All in all, a wonderful experience. I will be a repeat customer, and will be bringing my husband in for his walking analysis and a new pair of shoes soon! Keep up the great work, team!

I haven't been a "runner" for 40 years... but have decided to get back into it. Since i like to shop local i headed to The Runner's Flat. James greeted me and did a great job asking questions and guiding me to the right shoes. Great place to go!

This is a great place to get running gear whether you are a student athlete or just a casual runner. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and they offer the best shoes for very reasonable prices. I've been a happy customer for two years in a row. Would recommend!

Stephanie is a true gem to this business! She was able to size me and also pay attention to how I was walking before giving me shoe recommendations to best fit my situation. I am someone who has recently suffered a knee injury so having all the support in the right places is essential. I cannot thank her enough and I will be back!

A friend recommended this place to me, the staff was very knowledgeable and spent close to 45 minutes with me helping me find the right shoe. They had many options in stock so I could find the right fit for me. Will definitely be returning for my next pair.
