Worst bank I've been with."Processing time" is what they call when you pay for anything and it takes 2 week minimum for for it to go though. It'll take it off your current balance like it paid but you won't see it come up u till weeks later. Then then is when it actually comes out.So you can think you have money, you can think yo paid your bill. You must wait a week plus for the bank to then process anything at all. Which if you don't have the money then to go negative. This is incredibly inconvenient for due dates.I make a payment for the 16th on the 2nd ever month. The payment then comes out around the 27th. bmo Insiste that it is the bill company's issue for the late process. They don't take 2 weeks to process a bill so they can just hand out late fees..Party a gives party B 10 to give to party c. B Says its done and good. A week later B comes back and says hey to owe 10 for party c plus a overdraft and late fee. Please pay. That's how bmo worksManagement doesn't know what they are doing or saying. I've asked this many times when starting and they said this would never happen.I asked to take over draft protection off. I couldn't not do it on my end. They refused to do so, even at one point telling me they don't have to take that off. They can leave it on for as long as they want. This bank will make you fall behind on payments add late fees and unnecessary stress. Do nkt bank here

So I had a payroll check drawn on an account from Bank of the west. They charged 10% fee to cash it. Because of this fee I did not get proper minimum wage and overtime pay. It's their personal tax on workers - is this illegal? I can see all the bad reviews - why would an employer like Frese & Frese use such a bank for their employee payroll? Seems like something like this was going on at wells Fargo. Untill everyone said enough is enough and investigations started. .Employers who use these shady banking provides for their employee payroll should not have any employees. #wewontBabused. I tried talking to the bank manager - he had no time. Let's join together and spread the word. Governor Reynolds I have herd you say you won't let the working poor be victimized. The fee charged for cashing their own payroll check was way more than the fee at the check cashing stores iowa regulates so heavily.

Fraudulent! That is the word that best describes all of Bank of the West locations. A few months back my savings account started charging me $15.00 a month purely for having a savings account (which I've had for more than 5 years) I didn't catch it right away so they scammed $30.00 out of me before I went in to ask why this was happening all of the sudden. The clerk tells me I have to have a minimum of $1500 in my savings or have an automatic transfer of $100 a month to savings in order to not have that fee. Well, the entire 5 years I've had this account I've had neither of those things. She looked at my account history and agreed that I have never had either one of those in this account and she can't explain why all of the sudden it's charging me $15 a month now. So she refunds me $15 because they can only reimburse one fee. That is fraud! I would like my additional $15 back. I shut down the account. I also have a line of credit which I've had with them for over 7 years. I thought maybe my memory is off because everytime I check the balance on it, it seems slightly higher than the last time I checked. So, I started taking screenshots of the account. My memory is not fuzzy! They indeed are stealing from me. Over the past week my balance has been steadily increasing very slightly with no charges listed or explination given. In 8 days it has increased $16.87. In 7 years-if this has been going on the entire time-that means they have stolen over $2500 from me!!!!! But there is no proof besides the 8 days worth of screen shots I have recently decided to take. I've read other reviews online about this bank stealing from other people as well. THIEVES! I'm not happy. But what can I do? Besides work on paying it off, close my accounts, and warn anyone who will listen. Jessica is caring and wonderful. She does all she can to help her customers but she doesn't own the place so her hands are tied after so much.

Walk in w Bank of the West cashiers check from their customer. Provide my id. They then tell me they can cash it because they don't carry cash on hand. Was pretty sure their name was BANK of the West. Evidently banks no longer carry cash. Verified with them that the check was legit, but they wouldn't cash their own check.
