I had a situation renting a car from these guys. A miscommunication was the issue. The owner was amazing! He’d called me and we settled the situation.
Being in the service industry this is crucial for good business.
We need to support small business in our area. Seriously, these guys will take care of you!!

As I went in to pick up our rental it was explained to us that the 3rd party site hadn't communicated everything we would need to pick up the rental. The receptionist didn't even TRY to help us further. The only thing she was concerned about was if we would leave a bad review. The fault was the 3rd party, not Budget. But boy did she make us feel unwelcome. Went to Hertz instead. With very kind staff that did what they could to understand and help us with the process.

We were in Cedar Rapids to visit a friend and our truck needed some shop time. We called Budget and from the first call, answered by a real person, to getting a car to return of the car it was the best experience with a car rental we’ve experienced in our years of renting a car.
I would definitely recommend Budget to anyone who appreciates experienced, knowledgeable and friendly employees.

Dan & his team are the Best! We’ve purchased 3 vehicles at Budget and they are great to work with…..honest, friendly, courteous, in tune to the buyers needs, have great prices and are ready to work with you! They also do amazing auto repair, we needed a broken tail light replaced, they ordered it, replaced it, did a fabulous job & our car looks like it just came off the line! They are amazing at detailing cars too…I always love how fresh and clean my car interior smells! Go for Budget, they’re great to work with! Thank you Dan & team!

I had an excellent experience with Budget Car and Truck Rental in Cedar Rapids! The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the entire process quick and easy. The vehicle was clean and ready to go when I arrived. Returning it was just as smooth. Highly recommend this location for anyone!

Budget was so easy to work with. The very best part was being able to peruse the lot on our own and not have a pesky salesperson hounding us to buy. We were just looking...not planning on buying at all...but their trust and knowledge landed a deal. We were able to test drive alone, and this was amazing. Plus excellent prices. Everyone, esp. I love to recommend Budget Car Rental for your next auto purchase.
We worked directly with the owner and couldn’t be happier about our experience. We purchased a 2021 BMW X5 for well below asking price. Also, our new vehicle was “detailed” by Dan’s staff.
Our BMW X5 sits at the top of my purchases since the mid 80’s. The vehicle is beyond amazing and we cannot thank Dan enough. If you’re looking to make a car purchase, consider using Dan at Budget. You won’t be dissatisfied.

I bought a 2008 Sebring from Dan at Budget of Cedar Rapids, very nice car. We drove it for a couple of days and the service light came on, so I ran it back over and had a talk with Dan and he offered to pay half of the cost to fix it, note this car was an as is. We split the cost and the car runs awesome. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a quality vehicle too stop by and talk to Dan Thanks again.

Worked with Dan to purchase a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta. He was honest, up front, personable, and made the process extremely easy. I usually dread shopping for cars, but I would go back here to purchase any vehicle in the future. If I could leave six stars I would!

Wow! Budget Rental of Cedar Rapids' detailing team is amazing! We selected the Platinum Detail Package for our older SUV and we couldn't be happier. They were able to clean 8 years of Newfoundland slobber (if you know Newfies, you know you find it everywhere), dog hair, sand and who knows what else from all the cracks and crevices. It seriously looks like a new vehicle!
They were also so nice and accommodating as we had to pay over the phone and arrange a later pickup time.
We will definitely be back and will check out the ceramic coating for our other car.
