While visiting my boyfriend in Iowa, we went to the mall in Cedar Rapids and stopped by Finish Line. He bought me a pair of Nike Air Max shoes. I asked the employee for a size 8, and when we got to the checkout, I checked the box and pulled out a shoe—it said size 8, so I thought everything was fine.
The next day, when I went to wear them, I noticed something was off—one shoe looked bigger than the other. I checked again and found that the right shoe was a size 8, but the left shoe was a size 9. How does something like this happen? I understand mistakes can occur, but isn’t it standard practice to double-check the sizes before handing the box to the customer? The manger was standing right beside the employee while we were checking out as well.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t go back to the Cedar Rapids store to exchange them because I was already driving to Omaha, Nebraska. I eventually managed to exchange them after visiting two different stores in Omaha, but the process was incredibly inconvenient and wasted a lot of my time.
As someone who works in customer service myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but I also know how important it is to pay attention to detail and to provide a better customer experience. Please work on improving your customer service to prevent situations like this in the future.
Please do better Finish Line.

We are constantly having an issue with a manager/worker at your location. She is very rude and dismissive. I tried to return a pair of shoes that I brought online. When I went to return them in this store the woman stated "she couldn't take them because she don't know if they were stolen or not" and because they didn't have those shoes in yet. What do I have to do with people stealing. According to your website, the refund policy is that I can return to store as long as I have a sales receipt or confirmation email. I had my confirmation email. This is unacceptable. I will be calling corporate. This is the 2nd time I have encountered this woman with a rude and dismissive attitude. You all need to hire better people with a great attitude.

the staff here are very knowledgeable and eco friend when it comes to picking out the best shoes or even just to get properly fitted for online orders for shoes, so i rated them a 9! they don't get commission but team work, makes the dream work! these are after work stress relief pic's join us as we remind each other "hey, you did a good job today!"

Tried to sue a return on a pair of shoes I bought through Klarna and manager refused to help. I was told she didn’t know how to do the returns unless the whole item was paid for. I have done returns before at other stores, and they’ve had no problem, so clearly she just didn’t want to do it. A manager should know how to do these things. She then got an attitude with me in the store and told me I should’ve just bought them regularly, instead of through Klarna. This is a perfect example of poor hiring in a company and instead of meeting a quota they should be more thorough with hiring people who have a management background. I will also say on a separate not I’ve also smelled a marijuana odor on several employees in the store. DO BETTER FinishLine!!!

Bought shoes, wore them for two hours. Hurt my feet. When trying to return they said they couldn't return cause there was a defect. The defect must have been from the manufacturer then because it was the same exact way on both shoes. Now I remember why I don't shop finish line.
