Kids First Law Center is dedicated to giving children a voice in divorce, custody, and other conflicts by providing focused legal representation and services for kids. Their main goals are to create stability for children, reduce the impact of conflict, connect families to support systems and resources, and ensure children’s voices are heard. The center emphasizes conflict-resolution and changing behavior patterns to foster more positive relationships for children. In addition to legal services, Kids First has developed an excellent restorative justice program for middle schools. This program offers students a safe space to express their feelings and concerns, helping to build better relationships between students and staff. The restorative circle process has been praised for improving behavior and relationships, with many noting significant positive changes. Staff and teachers value the support from Kids First representatives, especially Mr. John, who consistently helps resolve conflicts and supports everyone in the school community. The organization’s compassionate and fair mediation creates a safe environment for staff and students to work through issues and find positive outcomes, making Kids First Law Center an essential part of the schools they serve.
Their programs help to elevate our kids self esteem and challenge their beliefs about themselves and what they can accomplish. My grandson was named one of the 14 under 14 and he was so shocked and proud. Thank you for having this wonderful program!

Was so glad I found them as I was a nervous wreck once I saw that it was required to have completed a mediation class and the mediators on the state of Iowa's website were all about $200 an hour which I could not afford and they were very helpful and did it for free a blessing
