Hey followers and reviewers, I've got here another lovely little review about our oh so beloved KUM&GO that has been bought out by maverik. As I've said before and in many of these soon to be changed stores the customer service maverik stands by will surely go down and I personally think and have encountered this since I learned about the buy out. Today I stopped here to get some more of the Maverick breakfast food I use to love, I got a biscuits and gravy. I asked the employee behind the counter if I could get some eggs added to it she told me yes one second, I waited and she came back and said unfortunately we have no way to ring it up so I cant do that for you, 🥲 its eggs and would have cost maybe .02 cents if that, on the tiny scoop of eggs I was asking for on my biscuits and gravy. Why is this a huge problem? Because in all my years trucking and going out of my way to stop at Maverik Truck stops for breakfast I have asked this many times and the store employees have always been more then obliged to do this for both me and many other customers I have seen with my own eyes. Now that Maverik has bought K&G and taken over there employees and managers here in the midwest the greed and rudeness that was here with K&G is now coming to maverik. This will officially be the last breakfast food I buy from this chain to enjoy only going to buy things from here going forward to test waters and see if the corporate leaders care enough to correct things like this. Its happening at other K&G stores as well see my delightful review at the K&G on 16th Ave in cedar rapids. Let me also add that they stop breakfast promptly at 9am! Who starts eating lunch at 9am!? So if they dont have what you want after 9am they absolutely will not make it for you (this is what I have been told at both these locations now after 9am) yes were talking 915 am I asked for a specific breakfast burrito and was told no!! we're cooking lunch now. This is the new Maverik standard as these are the things they should have known about prior to buying out such a poorly ran chain of stores.

I'm highly disappointed in where Maverick has taken over. The food has gone way downhill and still the same price. I've been made aware that Maverick has instructed employees to put less ingredients in everything. For example, less cheese on the pizza. Tonight I wanted to test it. There is barely any sauce or cheese on it. Maverick dies not seem to care about their previous customer following at all. I would give it one star however the 3 stars are for the staff. I won't be purchasing food at any of the stores again. Unbelievable that Maverick would tell employees to lessen the quality and put less ingredients on a pizza. I have never had a pizza with barely any cheese and no sauce whatsoever. I have provided this feedback to Maverick customer service and they have taken none of it into consideration.

Don't go here if you want gas. Last night it was a hangout for trucks cars and motorcycles to hangout. 100+ kids hanging out front of the store Noone spending any money or getting fuel. Fights were breaking out and I was fearful for the 1 lady that was working inside of the store. If I was the employee I would have locked the doors and called police.

First racism experience I've ever had night shift lady accused me of stealing when I never stole and she's friends with somebody that I know and she's going around saying I had a black girl in here stealing and I never stole anything a day in my life I hope she gets fired and I'll be coming up there soon to talk to the manager

Since when does Kum & Go allow Hip Hop music be loudly played in stores, music with foul language blaring. And when were headphones allowed at checkstands.Young man at night never greeted, or said a word, wearing headphones and looked at his phone the whole time. Someone should watch whats going on in evenings at 1st Ave Cedar Rapids store. It's embarrassing!

There's one cashier that works mornings, has such an infectious personality. Gives a warm good morning to every customer with a huge smile. This morning he was singing Picture by Cheryl Crow and Kid Rock. It was EXACTLY the boost I needed this morning. I grabbed my purple Monster listened to his singing as I walked the store. We need more of that in the world.

When Cedar Rapids list all its good top tier gas stations, Kum & Go opened up. The people are friendly, they work hard, and keep the store cleaned and stocked. There's a lot of variety in the convenience section. It's easy to get in and out of the pumps and back out onto the street. This station is definitely top tier.
