One star because you have to give something. Employees are lazy. Cant stock the cooler for weeks at a time. Everyday you have to ask someone behind the counter to go in the cooler to get their product to sell. And never is it a quick im sorry deal either. They are as slow as mollasses running down a hill in the freezing temps. Maybe hiring some people who actually want to work instead of just recieving a paycheck. Wont give them my service again.

The Kwik Shop at 1001 1st Ave SW Cedar Rapids, IA DOES NOT REQUIRE or ENFORCE ALL EMPLOYEES TO WEAR FACE MASKS. On 2/10/21 The employee who waited on me was not masked, despite the signs on the front door requiring masks for customers & employees. Other employees behind counter were masks, but the employee who waited on me was NOT. When I asked why she did not have her mask on (Noted it was not on her chin, worn incorrectly, just flat out not wearing one) she got angry and said.... DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT! I responded that this store is closest to my house and I should not have to go elsewhere. And I should not be subjected to an unsafe environment with a highly contagious virus, worldwide pandemic present. It is proven science that masks on everyone will slow the spread and protect others as well as yourself. It is also a city wide Mayoral mask mandate to continue to wear while doing business in the city; despite the Governor relaxing mask mandate.

This is what you would expect from a Kwik-Shop, but there have been a few times when I have visited and they have an item or something nowhere else in town had, not even the other kwik shops. Its conveniently located, although not the newest flashiest station in town, its well located right outside of downtown where there are not a ton of stations to speak of.

Usually lowest price for fuel in CR/Marion. Extremely small drive/parking/fueling lanes & only 4 pumps, but worth the wait when fuel across town is 20 cents higher! I've not been inside the station... the only reason I gave 4 ☆s, rather than 5.
