Went to store to buy decking wood. This involves placing an “order” at the contractor’s desk, walking mmup front to pay, drive to outside storage area to hopefully load materials. When I got to yard, they either did not have the boards, or they were in a place that 2 employees could not find. Not good, as I paid for this product to complete the job. While I was there I called the store to ask for help from store manager. I was handed over to a person named Wendy. She said she could call yard person for assistance. Nothing came from her effort. The only good part of this bad experience was they seemed very good at issuing refund credit.

I went to south side store last night August 2. I wanted to buy some damaged metal siding from the clearance bin. I talked to a guy at the building materials desk for a price. He said he could sell it for $10 a sheet. I asked if he could do $8. He said no. I thanked him and said I would think about it. I came back today Sunday and talked to a guy the assistant manager at the building materials desk. Told him about the guy I talked to last night saying he could sell the tin siding for ten dollars a sheet. The assistant manager said he could only do fifteen dollars a sheet. I asked him if he could get the manager and he said he was the manager. He finally got around to calling the real manager. The manager came over took a while, but he came. I told aim about the guy last night that told me he could do ten dollars a sheet. The manager said he could do eleven dollars a sheet. I asked him if he could honor the 10. The guy from last night said and he said, no. He said he talked to the guy that I talked to last night and he did not say ten dollars a sheet, He said eleven dollars a sheet. I said, well, he said 10, and then he called me a liar To my face and laughed and said, he could go get that guy that I talked to last night to prove it. I would've paid the $11 a sheet. But after being called a liar and being laughed at, I pretty much decided i'm taking my business elsewhere and I put everything down that I was going to buy today. Went to the general manager, I brought it to his attention. He was very nice. Whether or not he does anything about it. I don't know but very disappointed!!

Don't buy any lumber from this hellscape. Terrible customer service
Had to return deck materials 4 times for one order and they wanted me to pay extra for something I already paid for. What a clown show.

Bought chain link fence. You have to have a road map to find it, nobody will tell you where it is. Got it home and it is the worst quality of fence I have ever seen. Never again....

I really don't know why they put harsh people to work as cashiers, today a lady called Kit helped me and the truth is that her lack of respect for customers leaves a lot to be desired, people like that shouldn't have working, be cashier you must be kind, I always go to Menards and until today I had a bad day with that employee, for me her way of being is unprofessional
