They stole out off my truck, my brand new little vacuum I bought and used one time someone took it. Not only that but while they had my truck they turned off my Apu and refrigerator so when I got my truck back my food was rotten inside my fridge and full of maggots. There is also now a mouse somewhere in my truck that eats my bread but I can't find the little s*** so thank you cedar rapids Ken worth you guys are great for that. Oh and I gotta pick up all the bread the mouse tears apart inside my truck because I don't have my vacuum anymore. Thanks really appreciate the service.:( you should really tell your employees there's no honor amongst thieves and we reap what we sow in life. It made your company in cedar rapids as well as the management look terrible and I will absolutely do everything possible to never return to this location.

Can't say enough good about these guys. I blew a radiator about 20 miles from Cedar Rapids and limped my truck to the Kwik Star a mile or so down the road from this Kenworth dealership. Called them around 17:00 yesterday and Cory in Service was able to put the order in and set me up to come in the morning with my T680. After a good night's sleep at a hotel right by there I pulled in and they got me in a bay fairly quickly. Everything was tore down and ready for the new radiator that hit the shop at 13:00. Talked to Tim Wagamon about adding some trucks to my company. He's a straight shooter and I'm looking forward to possibly doing business with him in the near future. John Sniegowski, the Servive Manager explained my bill and made sure I understood everything. I paid less then I calculated which is a definite plus. My little breakdown only lasted a bit over 24 hours. The mechanic did a thorough job and I'm confident I won't be having issues with the work he did. They have a shower there and a washer/dryer if you need to do some laundry while you wait. Everything about my experience was topnotch. Another driver came in with his dog and the fella chilled out with me in the lounge! I wish all dealers ran their business like this. I appreciate it guys, keep up the good work. You'll be seeing me again in the future as I come through there twice a week and you're now my go to Kenworth Dealer in this part of the world.

My horse trailer lost a tire while driving from Alabama to home in MN with 4 horses and 3 kids. When I pulled over, I realized the studs broken so I couldn’t do anything myself. Luckily MHC was only 2 miles from me so I brought in my rig. Everyone there was exceptional. They were friendly and so helpful considering they don’t work on trailers but they got the parts for the repair! They even went out of their way to help get water for the horses, find them a place to rest while we were waiting, etc. We are grateful for all their help, hospitality and getting us back on the road!

Brought my company truck in to have bunk heater serviced as it stopped working. First the positive, they got me into shop within less than 2 hrs.,and their friendly, and have driver lounge with laundry, a shower rm. Now for the negative after getting my truck back, they had replaced glow plug and serviced the heater, well that night I woke up to a smell of burnt/burning plastic and the heater error code"overheating", I shut the heater off, and called our road service dept, they routed me back to our main terminal in Joplin,MO. One of our shop techs found heater outlet hose damaged and kinked bad, also where the heater was not remounted properly, so after our shop put a brand new heater outlet hose on and remounted the heater unit(Espar) and cleared/reset the wall control, and plugged the unit into the computer made for Espar to give it final checkout, it now works fine. Could of had a fire under my bunk IMO ?. This was my experience here.

If you don't work with or for Don Hummer then DO NOT bring your truck here. This SHOP is compromised. Their loyalty is to Don Hummer. They won't work on your truck, you'll think you're going in for warranty work, but they will charge you without your signature of approval for non-warranty work especially if you work for a different carrier.

Arrived after I got derate note. My expectation was to stay here for days based on some previous experiences in some dealers like OH, LA or IL. Took me in an hour, even though there were many trucks in the shop. Did diagnostic and checked some def sensors. Took it for a test drive, and I was ready to go. Just like that. In an out in like 3 hours or so. Price was exactly what they told me upfront! This was the best experience in KW dealership so far!!! Wish could give em 10 stars. Those guys are amazingly organized. Thank you

After reading all of these 5 star reviews I couldn’t see going anywhere else for service!
Saying that, I’m not sure it was a positive experience. I called from Des Moines and asked about service and made an appointment to bring in my truck for a small coolant leak. They did as promised and got it in to service the same day as projected. Also since they had time, went ahead with a valve adjustment. Everything went well as planned and I went to a hotel 2.5 miles away for the night with hopes of picking up truck in the evening/morning when it was done! I even called approximately 8pm just to check on progress and see if they needed approval or whatnot. They never called to say it was done and set the truck outside overnight with temps at real 9 degrees and felt like below 0. We all know what probably happened next…
In the morning I called to check on the truck at 8am and they said it was done! Great! I said I was on my way. I called a taxi $20 to leave hotel and got there. The truck would not stay running. I go in tell them to find out they left the truck out all night and never called to say it was done, that it was going to sit out in low temps, or even ask what to do in that situation! Once again taxi $20 back to hotel.
So now the truck isn’t running but was told it was ready! No call from shop all day. I call them several times and at some point I’m told that they were now changing my filters that it had gelled up overnight. Not once did they call me. Every contact about my truck was me calling them. Not once did they call me about said service (filters). I carry every filter known that belongs on my truck.
The service department did get on trying to get this resolved as I took another $20 ride back to hotel and had to stay another night $140 plus food for 2 as my wife and I are a team. This took all day from 930am until 8pm to change fuel filters and reinspect THEIR work that they must have thought they did wrong! I was told they rechecked the valve adjustment just to make sure all was well and that wasn’t causing the issue. I got another taxi $20 back to dealership to pick up truck. Yea! Finally got my truck back! Day late! $200 short from travel and hotel plus food for 2.
The bad part of this ordeal is that the bill would have been less than $1100 dollar plus $200 hotel and one day out of service. That wouldn’t have been so bad.
These guys charged me $1000 extra to change fuel filters from diesel gel up from something THEY caused and check THEIR work from the previous invoice. Not to mention the extra $200 I had to pay to stay another night and travel food for 2 plus taxi x3.
The night time service guy said that he doesn’t call after a certain hour of the night. Do they not know I’m a truck driver in need of said truck that went in with no issue other than a coolant leak. Yes a coolant leak that wasn’t even bad. Service guy said he’d spoke with John the service manager and that that was what I had to pay to get my truck back!
I’m not broke and not on here complaining because it’s my last dollar and now I can’t eat tomorrow! I just happen to think that ALL MHC KENWORTHS have ALWAYS treated me fairly which is why I trust them with my Large Car!
I was not extraordinarily impressed with what happened this time at MHC. I was going to try to talk to a service manager about this. Since the night time guy said he had no authority and the daytime guy had given him instructions to charge the extra $1000 or not let the truck go…. Here we are!

I arrived with a bad turbo actuator late evening New Years day. First thing the next morning the men had my truck diagnosed and the correct path to fix it. There were some discrepancies getting the part overnighted but these were rectified and I was back on the road in just a little over 48 hours. The service manager John S was very knowledgeable and great to deal with. I would definitely recommend this service department. Also, the driver lounge at the dealership has a clean private shower and free laundry available to the driver's while they wait. What a great service for us to use.
