I had a good experience at Midas, and I’d like to share my thoughts. Adam at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable, which made the whole process smooth from the start. Even though I didn’t have an appointment, they took my car in right away to fix the alternator issue I was facing. I brought my own alternator, and they replaced it on the same day. The technician explained the diagnostic process very clearly, which I really appreciated. They recommended me to replace the battery, but I declined. I do not have any issue with the battery. The oil dip stick broke when they tried to check the oil level. They let me know the issue and replaced the dip stick within the next few days for free.
However, the labor charge was a bit higher than I expected, which is why I’m giving 4 stars out of 5. Despite the cost, I’m satisfied with the service, and I appreciate that they were able to service it without prior appointment. I may consider coming back for future car repairs.

The staff was very nice but they were unable to balance my tires because their machine was broken. After leaving and driving about five blocks my left rear tire almost came completely off as they didn't tighten the lug nuts. This shop needs some investment in equipment and training. The.dtaff came right away and tightened everything after I called and were professional and apologetic. Hope they can improve as prices were competitive.

Oil change and check out tire after hitting a mega pothole; nearly 3 hours for these 2 things. While in the lobby with a toddler (which should not have affected the tech). Tech didn't put the weights back on a tire. Rectify with discounted oil change when I come back. No thanks.

Adam was great! Fast and friendly service paired with decent prices make thIs shop an A+! I usually do my own work, but with soemthing coming up I needed them done now, and Midas 1st Ave did not disappoint!

Do not trust this place. I took the car for an oil change and tire rotation. They did th3 oil change, they didn't change the filter, they didn't do the rotation and they remove the valve for the AC causing more damages to my car. They were trying to charge me $2072 plus tax for things that were just changed in the car. Not even 3 months prior I had changed the serpentine belt, but they were telling me I need a new one.

I rate Midas 1 star. I went to get just a simple oil change before a road trip because I didn’t have time to do it myself. They come back to me about 2 hours later with a long list of problems making it seem like my car was about to fall apart at the seams (I have a 2010 Subaru hatchback Impreza.) This was the first time I have went to them, But they pretty much told me every single fluid in my car was leaking including my oil (which it wasn’t) and that I would have had to spend $8,000+ to fix. Making seem like my car wasn’t even worth fixing. I notice my oil leaking on my trip but I would just top it off every so often and keep an eye on everything else and the trip went fine with no problems. After I put a few thousand more miles on it I do the oil change myself. I find they didn't put the damn bolt on tight enough and they didn’t even replace the rubber ring which was stiff and cracking. They also told me my power steering fluid was also leaking, buuut seeing as the level is not getting lower and I’m not straining to drive it everyday I’d say I’m fine. They were pretty pushy to have me sign up for a payment plan and seemed a little disappointed when I said no a few times. The office people were fine but I’m just guessing by the way I look they assumed I would be easy to spook and get me to pay them that insane sum. Go here for simple stuff but if you have an older car just take everything they say with a grain of salt.

I must comment on my visit to the Midas on 1st Ave, once again. . . . Had a flat tire and they got me in even though ALL their bays were full. James who manages the shop and Shilo the assistant are so efficient and professional, that it just looks like a well oiled machine. They asked my problem, , grabbed my keys and i was in and out in 25 minutes. They even had to move cars to get my work done. . Catering to people is their specialty. . And the guys in the shop are so quick and smart. . I NEVER have had a more memorable time at a shop. You don't see that kind of professionalism ANYWHERE. Would never consider anywhere else for any of my cars. Once you go there, you'll never go anywhere else. HONEST. There's a TV and a complimentary coffee waiting for you. . Simply unbelievable. . THANK YOU.
