Spare Time events coordinator Destiny was amazing and came through for us in. API ch when an important event reservation fell through 2 days before it! She moved quickly to make sure we had everything we needed for the night in the Elite Party room which was so perfect for our event! She and our server for the night Allison were so sweet and accommodating and took excellent care of us the whole night! I would definitely recommend booking your event here! If we had known the room came with a private bowling area too we might have arranged for an even longer party!!

We did the lanes and laser bash for our son’s birthday and it was one of the best decisions. All the kids had so much fun, we didn’t have to worry about food or the clean up and we had a dedicated party host to help keep us on schedule.
Our party host Max was absolutely brilliant she was kind and knew what she was doing and had no problem handling 14 crazy kids!

I rarely write reviews but wanted to give special thanks to the staff at Spare Time in Cedar Rapids. Had a birthday party there, and the manager on duty handling the escape rooms, etc., was very helpful and accomodating to whatever we needed (forgot his name, a black guy probably in his late twenties or thirties), also the bartender, Odie, served our party all night long and everybody agreed his service was amazing, he even took pictures of the group at the end of night. The entire venue was great but those two people in particular went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. TY

Clean, and fun! It is pricy but it's totally worth it for a hassle free time. A birthday package is a must if you want to have your kids' party there. There is also a huge arcade and lazer tag, AND escape rooms! Fun for all ages.

I love this business in Cedar Rapids. It's now collecting School items for children and our schools. And in return they give you some game money to have some fun. This really is a great place to go if you have some spare time you can't imagine how time flies when you're having fun at spare time! If you've never gave it a shot give it a try.

Had our daughters 8th birthday party at Sparetime. Could not have asked for a better time. The staff, especially Cameron(the bartender working sorry if I'm miss remembering his name) was absolutely spectacular. The escape room was perfect for the kids and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you very much to everyone working August 9th 2024!

We visited on July 20, 2024 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She went to the desk to receive her card for $10 of free play that was emailed to her as a gift from Spare Time. The employee told her she had to have her own card to receive the $10 gift. I was furious! This has never been the policy before! I also asked to purchase a card fir her friend and I was told "NO" I had to get purchase her card from the Kiosk and I was charged a fee of $3.00. This is stupid! I will make sure I keep my cards for future use! Greed! This world is tough enough to live in with the cost of food getting higher and then you have to raise the price on fun things to do in this town! You are going to lose business if this continues! Customers should not have to pay a fee for a card to use in your establishment especially if it is their first time at your establishment. You may have customers visiting from out of town! Rethink your process! If you make it too expensive to visit people will stop coming!!!!

It’s a great and highly entertaining environment, but games are always needing hard resets and employees argue with you about the need to do so. For some place that specializes in video games as their main source of entertaining their customers, the service would be far better than it is, both games and employees.

The price of food and drinks was definitely unexpected, very pricy, but the pizza was very good. We had a good time and will better prepare for the food costs
