My wife and I came to this business on October 17, 2024 to look for glasses. We are both previous customers, but it has been some time since we came back here as we got our glasses from other places in Cedar Rapids since that first time.
We wanted to see what type of frames they had etc. There was an older lady that was helping my wife originally on the 17th and they were pretty busy when we were there. We felt uncomfortable after witnessing what we guessed was a manager, an African American lady scolding another employee. This employee may have been a new employee, not sure, it seemed like she might have been in training.
We did not end up buying the glasses at that time because it did not make us feel comfortable. But we did end up going back on November 4. I guess we waited to long and her computer glasses and everyday glasses she picked out were already put back on the display shelf as when we got there the lady I was speaking about, the African American lady was looking for them and could not find them in the cupboard. We probably waited to long to return and they got put back. I know people must do this all the time and not return, but it would be nice to get a call to ask if we were coming back….. Because now my wife had to look at all the glasses again to try to find them. The process takes a while as anyone that has looked for glasses knows. It would also be nice if we could have got a printout or something of the frames so we could easily find them again, but they do not do that. Anyway, while my wife was trying to find the frames again, we again witnessed this same gal being talked to in a very derogatory way by the African American woman. (We later found out the lady scolding her is named Karen) Just so happens they were a little less busier this time but there were people coming in and out picking up their glasses and one customer getting fitted for some. The gal that was being scolded who we witnessed being scolded on the 11th and again this time ended up helping my wife. We could tell something was not right with her. She was speaking very softly, that we could hardly hear her. She seemed flustered and forgetful what she was doing asking us again are these the ones that are computer. Very shook up I guess is how I would describe her. Not enough space to type everything that happened as google limits reviews. But her glasses were not right, we were mixed up with another customer with the same name but different middle initial for a different city. Big mess and now she is not getting what she ordered or thought she was getting because they want more money.

Terrible service.! They made my glasses using the wrong prescription. When I told them that my new glasses were giving me headaches they seemed uncaring and more worried about passing the blame onto my eye dr. Who gave the exam. They finally said they would fix their mistake only after calling and basically harassing my eye Dr's office. When they did finally own up to their mistake and fix them they had to do it twice to get it correct. When I went to pick them up it took over an hour of waiting just to see that they hadn't even cleaned the polishing compound off the glasses. Employees are uncaring and seems like they take pride in making your experience miserable. I do not recommend this place and will not be going back.

The staff at this store has always been great! When I was ordering my new glasses, my gal had a trainee and was terrific at giving important information while keeping me as the center of focus. I didn't feel like I was not being paid attention to at any point.

Service with Lynn was wonderful. Profesional and informative. My glasses are so clear, and the price was amazing. Better than walmart, where I was a previous customer. Highly recommend !

Great experience from start to finish. The eye doctor and staff were very friendly and quick. We were early for our appointments and they got us right in. The prescriptions were perfect. We were greeted by and worked with friendly knowledgeable staff. The selection was great. Even though it was busy before school started the service was great and both kids glasses were ready quickly the same day despite one very strong prescription. The manager had previously tried to help me contact a different location and was very good at offering her services. Even though this location is not the one closest to us, it was well worth the drive and we will plan to continue coming here for all of our family’s eye care needs.
