great place to spend a couple hours of the weekend at, i came here with my family often and the security was aways top notch, no hoodlums ever stuck around long. the mall is booming and its starting to trickle down to everybody, all the stores are super excited to open in the morning to large lines of customers. maintinance and house keeping keep everything top shape, long live lindale mall. ᵏᵃᵖᵖᵃ

Feels old now. So many empty spaces. Several of the businesses that are open look raggedy. Mall staff - two I encountered were inattentive to a ridiculous Level. By mall staff o mean individuals who are employed/xContracted by the nell itself.

This mall is the only mall in Cedar Rapids besides going to Iowa City. They need to take the initiative to renovate some areas of this mall. It looks old and a bit empty. There is a lot less major retailers, not enough events or community outreach, and this made the mall less relevant over time. The mall in its former glory had double the size food court now most food options are outside the mall and no longer integrated to get people in and tore down the fountain. Most retailers are too niche to get enough traffic into the mall or they are not even retailers to begin with.The mall needs to be reinvented to introduce more activity. It lacks what major malls have to keep people coming.

Overall the stores were great. GameStop, however, was a terrible experience. I went in to purchase a Nintendo Switch for my son. I was asking about Five Nights at Freddy's, and was told that my son shouldn't play a game like that. This kid, who was maybe in his early 20s, explained that he wasn't trying to tell me how to parent. But when I asked if it was worse then the Backroom games, he said that if my son plays that then it's already too late to save him. Absolutely terrible customer service.

This place is pretty much ghetto now. Anchor stores are gone. No real food court. Dirty and garbage cans overflowing. Parking sucks. Was good 20 years ago.Update 4 years later. Even more depressing and wondering why doors still opened. Very sketchy.
