We purchased a car for my son a few months ago and two things have already gone wrong. The car needed a new battery after 2 weeks and now the AC is making a loud noise. Non-mechanical things we did not see or realize about the car have come to our attention as well. These are things that I feel should have been repaired before the car was put up for sale. I should have followed my intuition and them not allowing a customer to have a vehicle independently inspected - red flag!! It doesn't matter if Mr. Farmer has 2, 5 or 10 of his own inspections, customers should be allowed to get their own regardless. I had put a deposit down the day before the purchase and when we came to buy the car is when we had to ask if the car had been in an accident (it was in at least one). It was not disclosed to us before putting down the deposit. The only things disclosed to us were positives, like the tire tread amount and remaining brake life. It's up to whomever if they do business with Mr. Farmer, but we will not do so again. All in all, the vehicle is not worth what we paid for it.

I have been searching for a truck for over 3 years and they had exactly what I was looking for with no rust I mean none at all.When I walked in their shop to get the keys for a test drive I was shocked at how clean the office and shop was you could eat off the floor.They are a small family owned business that has been in business for many years and I can see why, plus they told me if I had any problems get back to them.A friend of mine asked me where I bought it and after I told him he said oh yes they have been in business for years they are very good.

Really kind people to work with! I bought a 1998 camry there and it was a very welcoming and hassle-free environment. Darren and his wife are amazing people! They have your back if something goes wrong with your car. Will recommend this place to my friends!Update: I had a couple issues with my vehicle after I bought it and they stuck with their word and paid for the repairs! My son recently purchased his first vehicle from David A. Farmer Inc and it was a refreshingly stress-free experience. We had been searching the Cedar Rapids area and had almost given up hope of finding anything in his price range that wasn’t a junk pile on wheels, when my husband stumbled across an ad on Craigslist. We are all so happy we found this dealer. They were friendly and straightforward. Their pricing was fair and their vehicles were well-maintained and clean. They made sure to make a personal connection with us and let my son know that he could contact them if he had any issues with the car. He hasn’t, but it really put his mind at ease knowing he would have a point of contact and a potential mechanic available if necessary. We will be purchasing any future used cars from this dealer. Highly recommend!

Purchased a vehicle in early December ‘22 and a few week later I had an unforeseen breakdown with my car. I contacted David A Farmer Inc about the issue, and they were willing to help me out with some of the repair costs!! They did not need to help me at all but they did. The sales process was also top notch with these people, they genuinely care for you during and after your car purchase. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid car buying experience.

Darren & Tiffany run a top notch business. I found them online during my used car search & once I met them & talked to them I knew they were an honest dealership. I purchased a car from them & had an unforeseen problem with the car a week later. Not only was Darren there to help me figure out the problem but he also helped me out to get it fixed. Most dealers would say “sold as is….see ya”, but not Darren. Even my mechanic said “ you don’t come across that kind of service very often”!! They are the real deal!!

Bought a 2005 Ram from Darren and Tiffany a yr ago. Was the easiest car buying experience iv ever had. Couple of things I didnt like or wasn't working but Darren had it all ready to go when I picked it up and Tiffany had all paper work done when I got there so all I had to do is sign. We had a chance to deal with David A. Farmer, Inc today and they were AMAZING. From beginning to end we were treated with nothing but respect and walked through everything, including post care with the car. Were told if we needed anything down the road to contact them first and they would help us get taken care of. His wife was a wonderful human being as well, such a gem. I highly recommend their service to anyone who is looking for a used car. I work for the DMV and this is one of the nicest and organized dealerships I've dealt with that's true to their customers...Thanks for such a great experience.
