“I lost my husband in December of 2016. -- we moved to .Cherokee in 2000, the year I retired, and have banked there ever since. We have always had nothing but good service and goodwill of this bank and always been pleased with their service! Yes, Cherokee is a small town but this bank offers "big town service"!!”

“North Star is a great place to bank in your local area(for me, this location was cherokee, IA). As far as living 3 hours away, as in my case, they have helped me out personally, and they have grown as a credit union, in ways that have blown my mind in the last few years. They have added a mobile deposit option to their mobile application on the playstore. They have made it very simple and easy to access your money. They always answer phone calls, they are always helpful, and as far as their policies allow, they are a great help in your own personal time of need, if any were to arise suddenly(they have helped me with this personally). If I have ever been upset with this establishment, it was only because of my own personal ignorance, but I applaud them and would recommend them to certain friends that I personally know.
