  The color and cut itself looks fine but the service from the hairstylist left much to be desired. You could tell she was in a bad mood from the minute we walked in the door and that did not change by the time we left. I put notes in my online request that I would like to stop by for a quick consultation (nobody would answer the phone when I called) but nobody reached back out to me, which was a shame because I think it could have saved a lot of time and headache. When we finally got a moment to chat at the beginning of the appointment, I explained what I wanted, showed many examples of both other people’s hair and previous cut and colors that I’ve gotten, and explained what I liked and didn’t like of each one. She didn't actually listen and got frustrated that we weren’t on the same page. Eventually she took me from the lobby to her chair and was talking very loudly and exasperatedly with the other stylist (who had her own clients but was very friendly and kind) about how she doesn’t know what to do to “fix” my hair. Throughout the whole appointment she was very cold and abrasive, very short with me when I tried to make conversation and even was very rude and kept complaining about how my hair wasn’t all one color going in after I explained that I like the lived out root look because I keep my eyebrows naturally dark and don’t prefer for my hair to be all one color because I think when it has some brighter/darker pieces it adds dimension. I also explained that because it’s so hard for me to get into the salon very often, the grown out root was inevitable, which is why I asked to keep some root and to make the transition from dark to light softer and less like a line of demarcation. She also was not happy that my hair had some breakage on the bottom layers, again, after I explained that I am not married to the long hair look and I am absolutely okay if we have to cut a lot of it off. When she washed my hair, she got water all down my back, and when she applied the root smudge, it was all down my neck, ears, and the sides of my face/forehead. When she cut my hair, she was again very unhappy with the breakage and I had to ask several times for her to give me layers, rather than all one uniform length. When she brushed my hair while it was wet, she would start at the very top and drag the comb through and then got upset that it was so difficult and that there were so many knots and tangles! Finally we’re nearing the end and she asked me if I had to have my hair blow dried and styled?! I’ve never known a hairstylist do a color service and not blow dry the hair; how are you supposed to know if the color turned out right? Of course, she seemed very upset that I asked her to blow dry my hair and said I could style it at home if she doesn’t have time. She roughly blow dried my hair and called it good enough. She didn’t turn me around with the hand mirror to see the back of my hair or check to make sure she didn’t need to make any additional cuts, she just walked to the front desk for us to pay. I got a lecture about how I really need to get my hair done more often so it doesn’t look so bad and it’s easier for a stylist to work with. I mean, honestly, she was making it seem like I came in with matted hair that had like 6 different box dyes in it and it was not like that at all. It was brassy and the roots were grown out and there was some breakage but that’s why you get your hair done, you don’t go to a salon if your hair already looks the way you want. It just was an all around terrible time. My hair looks fine, it’s not what I wanted and nothing like what I showed her but she was so angry the whole time not only did I think I couldn’t say anything but I really didn’t think she would or could do anything to resolve the issue. I was happy to leave and I’m happy to never go back.

  When I saw how dirty the place was, I should have left. I had my hair cut by Wanda, even though I had a picture showing the whole time, my hair looked nothing like the picture when she was done, and I had to ask for her to blow dry and style my hair-not to leave with wet hair. She was rushing to be done quickly and it showed.
