I believe the baker that designs my cookie cake every year is named Brittny. This year was a "Taylor Swift theme". She nailed the cake too look like the cover of one of Taylor Swift's Albums; Lover! It looked fabulous! My daughter started taking Spanish this year so that why it says "Catorce"...I try to sneak in practice every chance I get:)

I'm not sure as to why but this Hy-Vee Pharmacy Drive-Thru is extremely slow. I never had this issue with the Waterfront location.Plus, they're not on top of their Hipaa compliance.

Why is there a rent a cop at hyvee? And tell you what, he has ill intentions. I was getting targeted until i waddled off with my walker. Decided not to haggle the woman bc I'm disabled. He didn't like me walking my mobility aid in the door and leaving it at the entrance. Eyes locked on me,coming towards me.untill i opened my walker in front of him. There's nothing criminal about that. Says a whole lot about his intentions.

Interesting set up; food counters, specifically with Chinese Food and another with pizza. And I think one other counter. And then there's a restaurant right passed those counters. Host, full bar, booth seats, and flat screen tvs throughout. I ate breakfast here a few times. Not exactly memorable, but good enough to return (obviously) without being disappointed. I would like to highlight their biscuits that they serve cut open horizontally and grilled or seared (?) to have a nice crunchy crust to spread butter and jam! So in this instance, completely fine to go to the grocery store hungry. In fact, I encourage it because you can go eat at their restaurant first.

I've been to one HyVee back in Minnesota so I hadn't been to these very often. The store happens to be in walking distance from my house which is nice. The place was clean and it was nice. I liked the sales of Hawkeye gear. I had a little trouble trying to find someone to help me locate an item. Others that worked there just didn't seem that they were very happy and the store kind of made me feel a little depressed. But there's always that one cashier that can brighten up your day unfortunately I forgot her name. The rest of the store was great.

Excellent service; all the staff and pharmacists are kind and considerate, especially when you're not feeling well. Knowledgeable staff assist with gaining information one needs to update prescriptions, insurance coverage or to locate over the counter needs in the store. Prompt home delivery can be arranged.

Tom (if he still works there) and the rest of the pharmacy team are great! I’ve yet to find a pharmacy that offers the same level of customer service, and since moving away I can honestly say that I miss them! Keep up the good work (and please consider training other Hy Vee pharmacies across the state)!

I order from the floral department every year for balloons or candy to be delivered to my nephews for their birthdays. The floral department always does a great job! This year they really out-did themselves with the "Candy Surprise." My little nephew was so excited to receive this for his birthday. Thank you, Hy Vee Floral, for helping me always make my nephews' birthdays special.

"Accidentally went grocery shopping on an empty stomach and now I'm the proud owner of aisle six." That used to be me. But then I had kids. And like, I couldn't peruse a store long enough to thoroughly scan half an aisle. Also, where would I put all the groceries with my two wandering littles being held captive and taking up all my valuable cart space?! I've been a longtime fan of Hy-Vee Aisles. I am a paying member. ($99 annually for free delivery of a purchase of at least $30.) Since the pandemic I have literally not set foot in a grocery store. We are talking... six months. A couple of notes... 1. Hy-Vee used to self deliver but now use DoorDash. While I honestly miss having the same delivery guy each week who knew my kids by name... DoorDash has been doing a great job. 2. Use the App! They now have an app for your phone to order from, super slick. 3. If you do pickup (instead of delivery) it is always free with a purchase of $30 or more, regardless of membership. 4. Pickup will purchase alcoholic beverages for you, versus delivery will not. 5. Be prepared to have items missing in your oder. Some things show up online that are not actually in-stock in the store. If you opt to have substitutions, expect some wonky ones every so often because of this. 6. Hey eco-friendly folks. You can choose paper bags only! I love that they now don't make you have plastic bags each order. A step in the right direction. The pickup situation at this Hy-Vee has come SO SO FAR since the beginning of the pandemic. It is so much more efficient, organized and safe. (The beginning was a bit rough... but understandably so.) The staff is both friendly and professional. Pull up, say your name, park in a spot they direct you to, pop your trunk-- they will put all your groceries in, close your trunk-- away you go! Contactless grocery shopping is a thing in Iowa City/Coralville! Never again will you come home with the entirety of aisle six. Whew.

For years for the first time I was disappointed today when I got my meds. I was told before changing my insulin that with my one insurance it wouldn't cost me nothing. Then before picking them up today I could use my discount card. Went to pick them up, I was told I couldn't use my discount card with my insurance i could only do one or the other????? Then whats the point of having these cards????? Then my insulin was 100.00.. Not one happy customer.

Since this pandemic has started this Hy-Vee has done an excellent job restocking, ensuring safety, and remaining helpful. When I was there on April 18th around 10:30 AM the two Starbucks workers were slammed with customers. Customers were being so incredibly rude to them and both of them remained positive and treated everyone kindly and on an individual basis. We also had people from the pharmacy, deli, meat counter, customer service, health market and liquor departments be so extremely helpful in finding things. Not to say other areas aren't helpful, but we don't visit all departments! No matter how busy the store was or how frustrating this all is, this Hy-Vee has always had some of the most friendly and accommodating staff. Times are tough and even though people get out only once a day they still find a way to be rude to those who are there to support the community. Thank you Hy-Vee for putting up with all of this and continuing to provide for our community.

Can some one PLEASE explain to the Chinese restaurant that when you order chicken fried rice no vegetables and they say we don't put vegetables in the chicken fried rice when in fact they do put vegetables in the chicken fried rice that it is a BIG problem when you get home and no one will eat chicken fried rice with vegetables

I was in the store in search of a strawberry rhubarb pie, but none was on the table so the bakery made me one. Not only I had a fresh out of the oven pie but it was one of the best pie I've ever had! I had the entire pie for dinner
