“I started at CrossFit Council Bluffs when I was well into my 50s – and I’m so thankful I did!
Prior to joining CrossFit Council Bluffs, I had never really done any true weightlifting. I’m in my 60s now, and I enjoy the weightlifting component of CrossFit very much. I come across numerous articles that speak about the many benefits of weightlifting as we age.
I appreciate the metabolic conditioning as well. I quit smoking 6 years ago…after smoking a pack-a-day for many MANY years. Very proud of myself for quitting. But I am also proud of myself for participating in multiple MetCons each week at CrossFit Council Bluffs.
I like everyone associated with CrossFit Council Bluffs. …A great group of people!
Drew and each of his coaches is very thorough in explaining the various exercises and instructing the members on proper technique/form. If there is something that some of us cannot do as written, they will provide a scaled option(s). On a personal note, I appreciate the encouragement & motivation Drew and his coaches offer.
The members are an awesome group of folks. We all have different strengths/weaknesses, and it is commonplace for all the members to support each other.

I am happy to be one of the CFCB tribe!

“Clean, well kept facility. Nice concession area with plenty of food and drink options, and reasonable prices. Plenty of parking and easily accessible for all ages and abilities. My only complaint is the price charges to get in to events, but I. Not sure if that is due to overhead or if it is the sports clubs over charging.”

“Monthly fee is what you’d expect (just shy of $50 w/ contract). Has a decent assortment of machines that will cover your bases. Men’s shower was recently replaced which is nice. New glute machine also nice.
My only minor gripe is that the gym could be a bit cleaner. It’s not horrible by any means but you can tell that the equipment does not get a full wipe down too often— cardio machines collect dust on the plastic surfaces, cob webs behind the chest press, mirrors have the familiar smudges that have been there since I can recall. Not a deal breaker for me, though, since the surfaces that you actually touch on the machines are fine ?”
“I started going back to the gym about a month ago. I go a few times a week and I can say I absolutely enjoy going here. The staff are super nice, and very welcoming. They always say hello to me and actually make personal conversations. It helped make me feel less anxious going.”
