Went to purchase a JD riding mower. They didn't have the 48" deck riding mowers inside so asked customer service where they were. Young man said he didn't think there were riding mowers with 48" decks. We showed him online and that store should have 5. He called the 1 and only guy who worked in lawn and garden. Said he was on lunch (1:20 pm) and would be back. Said more mowers were outside by flowers. So we walked out and found mower we wanted. Waited 30 min. Went back to customer service to see if guy was back from lunch. Nice older man from garden section greeted us. Walked back to outside area. I showed him I'd pushed mower I wanted to the exit gate. He asked if I paid for it and I said no. Walked back inside, was able to finally purchase. Then nobody knew where gate key was so had to push riding mower from outside to inside the store, continuing through store, moving some items to make it by and to the exit doors. No other store employee helped the older lawn and garden man though many were standing around and available. My wife and I along with the older man did all the work plus loaded it onto our trailer. Lots of "I don't knows" from store employees. Were they all new hires working that day or what? There needs to be some serious training for that particular store...

This store continues to be the best in the entire Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area. The managers and all of the employees are consistently helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. This store should be the model for all of the other retail businesses in the area!

I was just able to make a return with a Gentleman named Michael Keller at this location he went above and beyond and helped me locate my receipt in the system when other employees just sent me on my way when I needed help on two other separate occasions. Best experience, he listened, and was super helpful! He’s Gold Home Depot take care of him!!!

Absolutely rude!! Multiple employees.
I asked an employee for a brief second to help me find something. He was walking with the store manager. The Store manager literally lifted his head to the ceiling in disgust -saying out loud “ugh!!!!!” With a loud groan because I asked an employee next to him for a quick answer to guide me to the right aisle. The employee explained the manager had a migraine and was upset and the kind employee was trying to calm him down. Absolutely terrible!!!
Secondly an older gentleman -Rick- a customer service associate got mouthy to me and my husband who needed help trying to find pairs of gloves so I asked him where I could go find them for my husband… he nodded in a general area and said snottily “there go look”. When I asked what aisle the associate said “hardware”. When asked where I’d find that aisle he responded very sarcastically..”down that aisle”. I stared at him hoping he was trying to be funny. He just glared at me. The other associate with him just stood there and dropped his head.
My husband and I were also looking for silicone trim for our glass shower door … but we left instead… paid for the few small items I had grabbed and we left to go shop at Lowe’s where the staff are friendly and helpful. This isn’t the first time Home Depot employees have been rude as heck. This Council Bluffs location has been bad like this on several locations. Clearly some training needs to be done with staff from the top down on polite customer service.
We will never return to this location. They are just cranky men there!

Ill give it three stars because the guy who handled my return wasnt real friendly and took forever to tell me wherre to find gloves. However another associate took me right to 3 different spots and escorted me to all of the things i was looking for and without any sign of bother. He really seemed happy to assist me

I'm a Milwaukee guy, so I'm partial to being biased. But anytime I convince the better half that we need something new, staff is always helpful when needed. Store is also organized and hasn't failed us (me) yet!
