Rating their cafe as a 3, it doesn't try to be good and at that, they succeed. We had lunch there 3 weeks ago. Pork tenderloin and fries, nothing complicated. Was slow, but not as bad as some places, the food wasn't really hot, and don't understand that as just a few steps from the grill to the table. Price is also a middle-of-the-road thing. Of course for food like this itis best to charge too much

We ate breakfast at HyVee, the food was cold and we are not fans of the new style of service.

I order a retirement cake and paid good money for it. The cake I ordered did not look anything like what we pick up. I was very disappointed but the person it was for thought it was very cute. There was a line down the middle of it and it the word retirement looked like a child did it.

I have been to many Hy-Vee stores across the Midwest. I have had breakfast and asked for gluten-free toast and they provided it I have asked to have a sandwich made and asked for gluten-free bread and they provided it. Yesterday I went into the lake Manawa Hy-Vee and asked young man man to make me a sandwich with gluten-free bread appeared confused so I went back and talk to a person who appeared to be a manager of some type. I could see the manager shaking his head and talking to the young man then the manager came out and addressed me from a distance. He said “we don’t have any gluten-free bread back here if we went and got some out of the store it would be frozen“. I told him not to worry about it it was obvious he did not want to go to the trouble to do this. I left I would not want to return to this store

I don't normally have an issue with Hyvee, for the most part they are great! But recently I had an issue when it came to the Hyvee Aisles. I placed my order the same day, and when I picked it up 6 hours later they gave me the wrong order, and then never took my payment even though I had called to tell them it was the wrong order and I needed to pay, and told the worker 3 times I needed to pay still with my card in hand. This was July 14, they finally called me August 5 and said I needed to come pay. I have no issue paying, but why did it take almost 3 weeks for them to notice? And not have workers listening to the customer about paying. Not only that they left me an extremely disgusting voice-mail demanding me to come in and pay or else it will be turned into the court...mind you it was less than $100, so a bit excessive. Personally the workers need to listen and pull their heads out if their butts.

Specifically aisles on-line is terrible! Whoever is doing the "shopping" is either incompetent or lazy. We have ordered twice for pickup, several items were marked "out of stock" so I went into the store and magically, the out of stock items appeared on the shelves or in the meat case. We stopped at customer service made a point of comparison from the "out of stock at 930am and the magically in stock at 1015 am. We are trying to limit our exposure and this sort of thing makes me and my family less safe. Beware and be warned!

In from Phoenix visiting my 90 year old parents.... showed them how to utilize online ordering with parking lot pick up (just like we do in Phoenix) to avoid human contact. Website experience was nice and easy, process was nice and easy -- got home and reviewed my receipt... Hy Vee charged a $9.95 online service fee!!!!! Are you kidding me??? That's 100% bull$&@"That was 20% of my total bill! Did not see that fee mentioned anywhere as I went through the ordering process or checkout..... simply wasn't there for me to say yes or no to. What a rip off -- if a grocery store wants consumer business, in-store or online there should NOT be a fee to shop - back in Phoenix no fee is charged. I called store but was told "that's a corporate thing".... Do not use Hy Vee online ordering unless you don't care about giving away money for nothing - find other options.

I got the Wagyu New York Strips recently and they were some of the tastiest steaks I've ever bought. All you really need is some salt and pepper and the meat will do the rest. The whole meat department really helped me out with picking them out. I'm real tempted to get some more from there.

The worst curbside grocery pick up! The girl outside is so unorganized. It's always a min of 20-40 min wait . I only get groceries the way now because of covid. I just cringe when I have to do it! Sorry Hyvee you are going to loose my loyalty if you can't get your act together

Purchased a roast. Very deceiving. The bottom of the roast which is hidden in the packaging had a 1/2 an inch of fat across the whole bottom. I won't purchase another roast from Hy Vee.

I came into the store to buy one of these bags and I asked 3 different employees including a front end manager and no one knew what I was talking about. Not very knowledgeable about promotional things going on in the store.

The Chinese food my wife picked up from the deli was absolutely dreadful. I've had it at other locations and it was fine. We were traveling and this was our diner in our hotel room. Couldn't be more disappointed.

I ordered a cake for a colleague who was celebrating a birthday the day BEFORE I needed it. - Called the bakery up told them what we wanted and sure, it would be ready the next morning for me to pick up. Well I got there, they couldn't find my order and one nice lady said "we have lots of new people here" and I told her that is just not an excuse. Well.....after looking for about 10 minutes, they finally found it and it was mixed in with yet another order. I talked with the manager and told him they need to train their employees better and that if they can screw up a simple cake order, why would I trust them to take care of something larger? Like a luncheon for say, 25 or 50 people?? I have never had a good experience when I have ordered something through HyVee and this experience pretty much was the final nail in the proverbial coffin for me.
