Probably the most poorly run Y in the entire system. The pool and pool deck are disgustingly filthy. There are wads of hair and plastic floating in the pool and the pool deck is littered with random socks and band aids. The pool deck looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. The family locker room is filthy. The extractors in the locker rooms are broken for months before being fixed. The hot tub works about 50% of the time. And, from time to time the family pool is closed due to a lack of chlorine. Weekend lifeguards show up when they want (45 minutes late) with no repercussions. Even with the chronic chlorine problems, management REFUSES to have maintenance on hand when they open at 5 am. This place needs competition!!!

I think the new Downtown YMCA is great. Great staff. Nice facility with a cool view of the Mississippi River. A very nice upgrade to our downtown.

For the most part a very nice place. Very nice people and great environment. The reason for 1 star is I specially got a membership to be able to swim and bring my daughter to swim. The pool is absolutely disgusting!! And it’s not just one occasion, it’s multiple. I’m talking band aids, wads of hair, floating mucus, stuff I don’t even know what it is. I am going to get a underwater camera to take pictures and post how disgusting this is. I have said something multiple times to different staff and lifeguards asking them to clean it or ask how often it is cleaned and no one seems to know. It’s just horrible. If they need someone to clean it for goodness sakes I’d do it!! Of course for a fee or maybe a free membership… I’ve been to a ton of public pools, resorts, other YMCAs and this place is the absolute worse.

I opened an account the end of sept. I changed my payment source and gave my acct/routing info on a stick it note for the director and was told everything ok. It’s now the end of October and I see a charge from the YMCA on old payment source. I call and ask what it’s for and I’m told in “collector” tone that I’ve missed payments and there’s late fees. I’m in the gym at least 4 times a week and from end of sept till Oct 20th no one at the YMCA has informed me any morning that I scan in that my account is not paid. I have been trying to contact the director for over a week and I have not heard a peep from them on their mistake. So what motivation I’ve had is gone because I’m not current and I’m not continuing going to a gym where I don’t agree with the charges. So now I’m thinking of joining Bettendorf YMCA because 4th st has terrible business practices

Here you have a supposedly not for profit organization that cares about kids and families however they exclude members from two Rivers YMCA over a Moline to use their membership at the Davenport ymca.

The staff is extremely kind and wonderful! The equipment is also in fantastic shape. Highly recommend that people use this gym. This Y is the best in the QC!

Poor customer service. Took full amount of money out of bank account while plan was on hold. No notices. Also took money out while closed during pandemic. I disagree with that. Shouldn’t have to pay for something you can’t use. Very unhappy with this and customer service argues
