As a 5 year old in 1965 I lived two blocks away from the Putnam Museum. My childhood friend and I would roam all over in those days and often roamed over to the museum. For a dime entrance fee and no adult supervision we had the museum to ourselves to explore and play. The museum provided my first experiences with mummies, wild animals, native Americans, and many other things a five year had no concept of back in the 60’s. It was great! Thank you Putnam Museum for some my fondest childhood memories

I have such an amazing time every time I come here I've been going here since I could even walk such a great place to actually come back to and show another generation what I used to do here

Our local library got a quad cities fun card so we decided to come and visit the science center! There were so many interactive activities for kids. It wasn’t that busy either which was very nice. Plenty of parking as well. Nice gift shop available too. The junk boat was my favorite part! It’s worth checking out!

This was my first time at Putnam Museum. My favorite exhibit was the Egyptian one. The Mummy exhibit was the best. I have been fascinated with Egyptian archaeological digs. My next exhibit were the animals. In the animal exhibit they showed what type of items two animals had inside their stomachs. If more people saw this l am sure they would think about items they toss away. I loved my experience at Putnam Museum!

We took our grandkids and the visit started off bad. The doors opened at 10:00 am but the person selling tickets didn't show up till 10:10. Then they couldn't get logged in to sell tickets till 10:20. By then there was quite a line waiting to get in. We were first in line so once they got logged in( which should have been done BEFORE they opened the door) things went well. The displays are very well done!!! We all had a good time. I highly recommend a visit as we will be going back.

Fun place for an afternoon outing. Lots of interactive exhibits. Would say it's more for 12 and under. Definitely fun for little ones and the staff is always very friendly!!
